Instead of closing all the thread shouldn't there be ringing a BELL by now with the moderators are do they really wanna screw up this forum? Well if you ask me they are doing a great job for the moment.

My opinion, right in belgium!

Normally I send out PM's when I do that, but since you asked in public, before I got do that, I'll answer in public.

It is my opinion that comments like "you are zero" and all the really far out stuff about "human rights" and all that had derailed the thread far away from its original purpose, or any form of common sense.

Some times people need some time to calm down, before they do things they regret.

Locking a thread is a way that I can provide such a breather.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.
they just open another thread so what does it solve? nothing!

You see we have already 5465465 sheepy threads. Enough is enough

We give him already 3 chances! Enough is enough

For me he is zero and thats final.

You may like him not my problem anymore!

Lets get a mute bottum for users then we can ignore him easy!

Yes I could, but I see deletings as more severe. As a mod I have a couple of tools. Locking a thread is less severe than deleting posts. But reading the post that came after mine, maybe you are right and that it is time that I start to use the big eraser.

i must say that was a bit out of order closing the thread

The idea of locking a specific thread is STUPID! because it makes the forum unclean. Is there any function to remove the locked thread from the page, permanently?

And banning the peopel to talk freely is also another idiotic idea. We are not the people under an authoritarian government like North Korea, dang it!

Yes I can reopen threads. But with the kind of tempers people are running at the moment, it is far more likely that I will be closing threads in the immediate future, than it is that I will be re-opening them.
