Is it not possible to change the sky textures?

The default textures are quite poor when compared to other racing games like F1C or GPL and they use sky textures usually borrowed from flightsimultor.

with 7 year old game like GPL having photorealistic sky textures i just wondered wether the same thing could be utilised in GP4 to make it more visually appealing

for sky texture, as far as I remind, 7 years old game like GPL does not have dynamic weather...we can't have everything.
We can use realistic skies anyway but it can cause artifacts in wet weather due to the dynamic system...

how are the skys made in gp4?

is there any potentioal in building sky-textured faces into the .gp4? maybe using the waving flags to change skys ??

I think it's better to have corrupted (if i understand you corretly) weather when sky is changing than default Gp4 sky.

Yes, f you never play with evolving weather.
(it's not a critic, I barely play with anything else than 100% sunny weather)

Is sky corrupted when it's changing from sunny to rainy or it's always corrupted when it starts changing and then stays the same for some time?

it's perfect as long as sky is completely clear, but once a single dynamic cloud is appearing, transparency artifacts are appearing too.

Hm I have 1 idea but I don't know if it's possible :) When sky is normal then we have textured sky, when it's changing it goes to gp4 default and when it's stable again it goes to textured sky:) Is it possible?
