does gp4 work fine on win2000?

i use Win ME (i hold my head in shame) and it works fine. i have 512mb RAM, which i believe is the maximum for ME, and its fine, so 2000 should work just as well, although i may be very wrong.

Windows ME is based off Windows 98se, so saying it should work on 2000 just because it works on ME is a mistake.


With that said, it does work fine on Win2000 Pro.

Not only does it work 'fine' it works BEST under 2k - I have XP Me and 2k so at least with me it runs best under 2k pro sp2 of course.

do you have service packs installed for win2000? because the game doesn't run. I start a race, I see me siting in the car, the the game crashes back to windows :s

probably a driver error.
goto system properties->advanced->startup and recovery, and then uncheck automatic restart.
this doesn't solve the problem but then it will show you a screen with info before it reboots.
write the stuff down which looks important (like file name, and adress)
then google on that.

ok, I installed winXP and when I try to run the game it seems that it isn't using DirectX, I can't see the mouse arrow in menu, the game is a totally mess. Do you thin that this has something to do with service pack 2 for winXP ?

The game runs fine on XP with SP2,,,,,,,,,,well at least on my system(WinXP Pro-SP2).
