I am with mod of 79 twirling that it is a beauty, but the only problem, is that the wheels do not turn. It seems that it has that to move in the archive f1graphics and to activate the option 3d for the wheels. But my problem is that I already looked for and I did not find nothing similar. Somebody can help to say me with is written or in which line it is. Debtor.

Hi guys, sorry to drag this thread up but I have a problem, (which I dont know if it has been mentioned before, sorry) After changing the names in game, the original 1979 names are still active when I race (e.g. Andretti changed to Kargili, when racing Andretti is still active). I would be very grateful if someone could help me sort this problem out, thanks.

why did you change names? and how did you change them? if you want to change them it should be done in the performance txt files in the mod :)

Ah I see! I changed them because I'm running an offline league with the mod ;)I did it in game where it says "edit names". So where do I find this "performance.txt" file?

if you look in the st folder you can find a performance folder in the data one - somehting like: C:\Program Files\Grand Prix 4\GPSAVES\Carsets\1979\Data\Performance

Uh huh, and there are the six folders for the backmarkers, I click the one I want to use and then edit each file for each race....correct?

in the beta you need to edit all the relevant ones. the final version would be nicer, but thats still while away :)

A 1979 demo has been released for rFactor. Read more about it in autosimsport's latest magazine: [www.autosimsport.net]

The full mod is still coming, as is the GP4 mod :)

That made me wonder if ISI didn't use the GP4 mod as a base, honestly ;)

Ah! Nice to know, so ISI is including quality community-made mods in the patch... I imagine some tracks are not made by them either them! It's a nice initiative, saves a lot of time for users wanting stuff

Tony, there are rumours that the 1979 mod will not be released for GP4, but only for rF, is that true?

This due the fact that the change of physics in GP4 is too limited.

progress has been zero for a while. but once i get a few other things out of the way (05, 95, dtm) 1979 will be the main task.
i'll probably work on a few tracks too, so the mod will be further away but better :)
