Cockpit 1994 season

Exactly JustinZiarko for the cockpit side !

@mckey415 : The cockpit of the 1995 mod come from of F1 2002 or F1C, and i don't want to use this ! I prefer use my cockpit. Beside, on my cockpit there are only 580 polygons or in the cockpit of the 1995 mod there are 1489.

@Berger_Fan : Your wheel looking good but i prefer the wheel of Justin

yeah, almost three times less polys is a strong reason... but i think you should work more on your cockpit. you have to lower the cockpit walls down, and remove the cockpit insert (i mean the integrated collar arond drivers head) - it was introduced only in '96...

Justin, do you have an external version of that wheel, or can I add to mine, as I think it's a more realistc design than my one.

is that a wrist watch stuck in the middle of that wheel???

heres a 94 berger wheel that i started yonks ago and didnt do very much to it.


and a mid 90s one (maybe a gp3 convert?)

Ok, i going to rebuild the cockpit, i try to put lower the side of the cockpit and i put out the visor !

i thought erwin_78 knew a way to get "whole" wheels in the cockpit, not half ones like now, but you have to ask him for that (was by editing some tex file i thought)

just copy the front wheels to cockpit wheel.

I have change, the side, now i think it is ok. When i put the side more lower, il see the limit of wheels

Cockpit looks good Duffer, much better than the CDTP conversion, but that was only beta version.

Heres some in-game shots of the top 3 teams helmets. That helmet shape has some funny mapping and stretching going on, so I've tried to get around some of that, let me know what you think.

aren't those cockpit sides too high?

ok, now looks much better, and if it is impossible to lower cockpit walls more then it's all right. one thing more: i think you should make the cockpit walls more thin, like i shown on the picture.



'94 cars did't have a safety collar at all!!! so they didn't have a horizontal paltes around the cockpit. it was just a monocoque wall and that's all. it is much more thin then at your picture.

if you make this cockpit shape good enough can i ask you to make a template or something like that for it?

and one more idea: someone knows how to change a front wheels track from a cockpit view?

Yes i know for the cockpit wall, but if i put out it, i see the the track because the wheel is a part of wheel

I go to see what can i do for that ! For the template, no probs !

perfect! do you know how to widen the front wheels track from the cockpit view?

also: comparing with picture of real benetton cockpit the steering wheel in your cockpit is very big. can you do something about this?

thats looking much better Duffer - nice job!

change wheel positions in TeamEditor (CamEditor). I think the cockpit ones change with the external ones.

For the steering Wheel, can you send me your Justin ? or Mckey if you have some steering wheel send me too

I think i can reduce the size of the steering wheel. But if we have a steering Wheel of 1994, i think it is good !

hmm then i don't see the problem of including this one in the steering wheel 'mod' if you understand what i mean? and then you can make a cockpit as realistic as possible (don't we all want that? )
