GP4.Gamer.nl Seasonset 2003

The helmets will be released very soon. I have to talk about that with Raymond Smits (it's my helmet after all). I put them on my site if he agrees.

When you don't want the cars to be in 2003 order just use your own gp4.exe.

I used a .car file to patch the exe but the point of this carset was to get an easy install for everyone. We had to avoid the use of tools like yours or csm to let even the absolute n00bs enjoy the 2003 season pack we've created.

Only one question. Apart from the helmet textures, what other files do I need to have the new helmets? Are there any new helmet shap files? A friend has the season pack now, and he will give me the files via msn... only need to know what files to include....

The cars seem to inn 2001 order although the patched gp4.exe makes them into 2003 order? is that right? coz the helmets are in 2003 order. Is this right, coz it would be very clever

And is it just me or is the helmet size way out of proportion...Look`s massive in relation to the car size....fecking excellent textures on the helmets thou..but the size puts me off

It's you NastyByDesign. The helmshape is the same size as the standard GP4 helmetshape. In real life this is the exact format. Look at pictures and you will see it.

Since I've installed this 'mod', have had a minor problem with the helmets tex changing. Everytime I start gp4, he randomsizes the helmets, then I make a new wad and then it's not there.. and it goed over and over and over.

Someone has an idea what it could be?

for the ones who would like to use the set in csm here's a quick way to do it:
install the carset to a fake temporary directory. for example: c:\temp\
create a new folder in your carset map and choose any name you like.
copy all the files except de cars directory and the uninstall.exe to that carset directory
download this file and rename it to .csm
place in inside the carset dir, and happy racing

ps.
don't try to change things like tracks specific wads etc.. because that is already working this way.
csm mainly uses the swap function for most files in this carset, and if you adjust the same settings by hand it'll probably confuse csm.
mister csm 0.972 is not that smart you know...

oh sidenote.. if you normally don't use the 9.6 patch, and you still want to play it, then move the cars dir from the install to your gp4 root dir.
don't worry... you can't ruin anything if you don't have the 9.6 patch installed.
otherwise its not necessary

Raymond,just downloaded your helmetset from gp4italia(first place i saw them available).there is no arrows helmets and no BAR french/usa helmets.
