7th in qualify. Better than the last few events ...
Hope to keep the position or do better, but anything can happen.

Plan for the race is clearly to stay out of trouble, dodge the carnage and walk away with some points…. No boost, not much expectations

Welcome to the Austrian GP!

The weather is fine, we are good to go

Buitenhuis gets away cleanly and retains the lead

Into the first corner and there is not enough space available for the midfield

Pedersen has to take evasive action

He bumps into Ancevski, who is launched into the barrier and out of the race

The lower half of the grid is caught in the ensuing traffic jam

Meanwhile at the front, Buitenhuis has been passed by both Wrexhams

It is a close fight among the top 3 as we enter lap 2

Gustavo passes Buitenhius for 3rd

Brickles tries to run away with the lead

Meanwhile the MMMs haven't decided on a teamorder yet

Slipstreaming from 5th to 8th

O'Neill loses it into turn one

He spins and continues in last place

A close fight between de los Rios and Karda is setting itself up

Elleker gets it wrong and puts a wheel on the grass in the second corner

He is not able to catch the car and goes out of the race

Sheppard runs into the remains of Elleker, to the dismay of his front wing

Buitenhius hasn't given up on catching the Wrexhams

Caranti is also looking for more than 7th

De Bruyker down in 3rd and under pressure by I think Gustavo

Sheppard grabs some spare parts

Gustavo makes it past De Bruyker

But not for long

Switching positions back and forth

Close fights also at the back of the field

Alfadil making quick work of Pedersen

Sheppard in a lonely 2th after his unscheduled stop

Buitenhuis is back with newfound pace and hunts Brickles

Stoddart is passed by Hinz who shows decent pace in the first stint

Szucs now under double pressure

Hinz makes it two for the price of one

O'Neill tries to make up lost ground

That is Hinz' pace explained, he was the lightest car on track

Too close for comfort for Szucs

Silva looses control and does a half spin

Silva rejoins in front of the other Mistral

Buitenhuis attacks Brickles

And immediately enters the pits

He rejoins in 8th

Pedersen passes O'Neill

O'Neill tries to enter the pits and sends Pedersen into a spin

Pedersen drops to 19th

Keranen navigates around the offroad-going de los Rios

Szucs also going wide in turn 1

...and on that cliffhanger we enter a break in the coverage ;)

Not much coverage of the Tyrant cars so far so it's hard to say how the race is going for us. Hopefully that changes in the second part.

The lap 1 traffic jam slowed us down a bit, hopefully Bence didn’t lose much time by going wide

Great first half of the race for me with an aggressive opening two laps. Looks like it's between me and the Dutch country house for the win, can I hold onto the lead after the pitstop?

The qualifying was good but that was an unexpectedly fast end to the race. A shame :(

It's going to be a tight one!

And we are back with the 2nd half of the race!

He spins into the path of one of the BRTs, I think it is Sheppard

Both end up with front wing damage

Meanwhile Brickles pits from the lead

Crucially, he rejoins in front of Buitenhuis

Sheppard and Szucs are in for repairs

De Bruyker now pitting

Great camera work I have to say

Uh oh, Karda hits the rear wheel of one of the Mistrals

Another incident due to a car entering the pits

Majumdar narrowly avoids Karda on his way to the pits

Karda continues facing the correct direction

Gromov with a quiet race in 11th

Brickles is able to extend his lead

Karda tries to make up lost ground

Stoddart proves to be a worthy opponent, though

Gromov is under attack by both Mistrals

Karda is still pushing Stoddart to the limit

Oh dear, Stoddart loses it under the immense pressure into the last corner

A nasty high speed crash

Despite loosing a wheel Stoddart carries on

Entering the pits could be an option

Nope, Stoddart continues down the pitstraight. I'm not sure what he is trying to achieve here

He parks the car on the second spot on the grid

This is really dangerous

Really really really dangerous

Gromov still manages to keep the Mistral squad at bay

An attack is launched

The pack is running into the slower Beggani

Gromov is able to put Beggani between him and the Mistrals. This might give him an advantage

Brickles laps Szucs

Now Beggani has to resist the Mistral team

Karda passing Hinz for 7th

Gromov makes good use of the Beggani roadblock

De Bruyker would surely enjoy a podium spot

Beggani under immense pressure. Majumdar in the background tries to assist his teammate

The battle for third is not over yet

Mistral vs. Tyrant

4-wide into turn one might be a problem

Ouch, the tyrants hit each other

I think I can spot an really unhappy looking Mr O'Brien at the pitwall

Damage for Majumdar

The fight for 3rd is still on

Karda is closing in on de los Rios with insane speed

I think the Mistrals just enjoy each others company

Karda now in de los Rios' gearbox

And he goes through

I can't help but feel that Gromov dodged a bullet in this race

Commentator's curse, off he goes on the last lap

No words. I was cheering for you mate!

Brickles avoids all drama and wins!

Buitenhius 2nd. He had a sniff at the win but the pace wasn't quite there

De Bruyker in 3rd

Gustavo has to accept 4th

Karda passed de los Rios on the last lap

Mistral teamwork until the finish line
