RELEASE Another New Generic Steering Wheel - F1GEO1_B v1.0

Posted by F1George
Hi everyone,

I've now finished a variation to the generic wheel I released on 1 Jan. This new wheel has the suggested gear, damage, opposition spread and pit indicator built into the wheel LCD.

This wheel is great to use for those cockpits that don't have a suggested gear or damage indicator.

See the readme file contained in the download for the install notes.

Hope you like it!

Big thanks, George!
Hello ! The steering wheel seems to be working fine with most mods, but I have an issue with the 1999 mod by MSchum24 :
Do you know what could be a way to fix it ?

For me you need to use the correct shape for this steering. So replace the shape in CSM folder.

Where can I make the change please ? I'm not comfortable enough to change things randomly and worsen the issue :/
In your download archive there are .GP4 files. Copy them to your mod folder. To find the folder you can use the search function for windows with this name:

cockpit.gp4
cockpit_dash.gp4
cockpit_wheel.gp4

Thank you ! Unfortunately it didn't work. I don't know why adding the generic wheel to the game altered only this mod. The others work fine. Maybe it's the image size that somehow is too big which makes it get cropped ?

EDIT : I swapped around manually the files for the mod and the new generic wheel appeared instead of the old. Well I wanted to keep the old for this mod but hey, at least the issue is fixed now. Thanks for your assistance :)

Hi guys,

Sorry to hear the wheel isn't working in all mods.

The following files don't really need to be changed for my wheel to work.

cockpit.gp4
cockpit_dash.gp4

I included modified versions of the above files in my mod as I was worried that the original files might interfere with some of the new features I added to the wheel, but further testing at my end has revealed that the features of the wheel still work fine without swapping these two files.

On another note, I have found that that after installing my wheel in some mods the windscreen/visor disappears!! I will do some investigations and will update my download package with a fix once I have it solved. I welcome any advice to help me fix this!!
