Again, my impression was that Matteo was free on the market, hence I didn't see the need for a PM to discuss this with you. Some quotes from my PMs with Matteo are:

"I wanna race again, this season had to help me improve but it isn't going as hoped. Let me talk with Dan and get things straight."
"I got Dan's PM two days ago, he hasn't planned anything for next season yet but I can join your team if I wish to. I'll make you know my decision by friday."
"Apparently Carlos is taking the seat. Dan said to Eric that I'm looking for a race seat but I refused it. Count me in for S11 :-)"
(Screenshots can be given if requested)

Especially the second quote led to my impression that Matteo was free and fully on the market, especially after he didn't get the MPR race seat. So, once again, if you did have an explicit contract for S11 with him and didn't give him permission for a transfer, then you can obviously ask him back, since I don't want to risk a penalty. But up to some extend, I also have to rely on what drivers tell me and I explicitly asked every driver I offered a seat if they were free. And I dunno why Matteo should claim that you said you'd let him go if this wasn't the case. He's not like ... other drivers, obviously.

Lots of controversy surrounding the driver signings. Hopefully it gets sorted out soon and we can all move on (at least until the next team reveals their Season 11 lineup).

I've sent a PM to Eric and hopefully we can sort the issue out quickly.

Yep and let's hope it's good news, not bad.

GPGSL S10 R12 South African Grand Prix, Kyalami

Test Session

The GPGSL circus arrived safely in South Africa to play on the classic layout of the Kyalami circuit near Johannesburg.
The test series was the first out on track, let's see what happened.

Joshua Collins makes his first appearance in the GPGSL and is first out of the pits in his JHR.

He is followed by AMR team owner Stuart Ingers in his first appearance this season for sister team High Definition.

Former Champion, John Warrington, makes his return to the series with One Racing.

Collins, being first on track sets the mark for everyone else.

Stuart Ingers is quick to beat it though.

Race driver, Keranen can't match either of the first two times set.

JHR owner Hunsley sets a new fastest time.

Stoddart is close behind and topples Hunsley from first place.

Stoddart's time is quickly beaten by Domenech in the GGP.

Vimal Ana slots in between in 2nd.

John Warrington gets back into the swing of things and takes 4th.

Horváth joins team mate Keranen at the bottom of the time sheets.

Glen Sheppard just sneaks into first by 2 thousandths of a second.

Reigning champ Gilson takes 7th place.

Silva sets a stunning lap to take 3rd in the MPR.

Doug ... I mean Daly McClure records the 10th fastest time so far.

Scala struggles to match team mate Silva.

Tom Pellatt gets on with his driving after announcing his team's withdrawal from the series at the end of this season.

McGregor struggles to 12th place.

Sanvitale puts the Snake into 9th position.

Thats both MACs low down as Cremasco fails to match team owner McGregor.

De Boer will be disappointed with 14th.

In contrast, Ruben Greidanus will be rather pleased with that effort.

Another team owner and Vilela puts his ONE in to 8th.

With the ink on his season 11 race contract with AMR still drying, Hinz comes over the line in 9th.

Domonech fails to improve on his first run.

Keranen improves in time if not position.

Stoddart is over a tenth down on his 6th place run.

Gilson manages to set exactly the same time as he did on his first lap.

Warrington can't improve on 10th.

But Collins can! Fantastic 5th place for the rookie!

Ingers moves up two places to 13th, als, it's just outside the points.

Ana moves up one to 3rd.

TNRs still struggling as Horváth can only jump up two places to 18th.

Hunsley and Sheppard also fail to improve.

Rain has affected Scala's run. He was expecting a big jump up from 21st, but he will have to settle with 20th.

Daly McClure, you may remember him from such public service videos as “Designated Drivers, the Lifesaving Nerds” and “Phony Tornado Alarms Reduce Readiness” and Maikel de Boer fail to improve.

Who says you can't go faster in the wet? Sanvitale disagrees and jumps from 14th to 3rd.

Silva can't respond to Sanvitale stunning lap in damp conditions.

Cremasco improves to 20th.

Pellatt, Greidanus, Vilela, McGregor and Hinz all suffer from worsening conditions.

So, there we have it. The test session is complete. Congratulations to Glen Sheppard and his Demon Racing team on first place here today.

GPGSL-3: champion in 2007/2013/2014!
GPGSL-4: testdrivers champion in Season 11!
5th.... We could be in Top 3, but it isn't that bad anyway.

-----------------------------------------------------

15th and 19th for Gilson and De Boer. Just have to hope that Worseling and myself can do better in the qualifying.

Ruben, didn't you use the file I sent you for Stu's car? I'm just wondering why he's driving with Domino's Pizza since I'm quite sure I changed his sponsor.

4th place ain't that bad of a result. Just need consistent point till the end
Good effort to have both cars in the points.

Nope, the layers of your psd file was (once again) in the wrong order and didn't had the time/motivation to correct this in time.

A real shame that Domenech was beaten by just 2 thousandth of a second.

16th place, not as good I believe for the session, but yeah good job for my teammate. Let's see what DMR has for the race.
