(Y) I look forward to it (and I also hope it's not Cheng that gets hit with the penalty for only 1 stopping).

GPG Nations Cup Season 4 - Round 13 - Dutch GP - Race day Pt1

Weather:

Welcome everyone, due to some major problems with our satellites the coverage of the race had to be delayed, but we're finally here after all, Gerard Hatfield is at the pole position today, and he is one of best drivers so far this season, right beside him is the home driver and one of the most experienced of the series, Maikel de Boer

And, they're off, Hatfield and De Boer are side by side

And the rookie manages to stay ahead

Meanwhile Nikolov is trying to overtake Keranen

But, he is left with the outside line, Domenech is also going for the overtake against Cremasco

Nikolov is able to beat Keranen

The same goes for Domenech, 1x0 to Argentina against Brazil

Dixon is the fastest man on the track after the first lap, and as a result he is pushing McGregor for the 3rd place

Good job by Dixon, is the first of many overtakes that will sure take place at the same spot today

Unseen by the cameras, Tafuro was able to overtake the debuting driver of the race, Carlos Rodriguez, and is now in 5th

This is how the race has progressed for the top 10 so far, a good job by Kederer

Nikolov is off the track, not a great start for him

He is able to return, but only at 22nd, maybe this will be a wasted boost for the Bulgarian

Domenech is overtaking Tung, good job by the driver

Franz F-F is also doing the same, but against Silva, who is now a driver of the GPGSL as well, and must be a little tired of travelling from Melbourne to Netherlands

The Swiss driver completes the overtake without much problems

The top 3 is really close at the moment

And De Boer wastes no time, as he goes for the lead

He is through, the Dutch driver is leading his home race

Dixon is trying to use the overtake to gain the position as well

But Hatfield is able to hold the 2nd place

Domenech shouldn't be doing that, he lost the control of his car and is now off track

And nos he is facing the wrong direction

As Nikolov, he is able to return, but in last place

We're back just in time to see Dixon overtaking Hatfield for the 2nd place

Keranen overtakes Kederer and is now inside the top 10

Hatfield is now facing McGregor, and behind them we can see that Ihara is also trying to overtake Rodriguez

Both drivers are successful with their maneuvers

Ohh!, Ihara missed the braking point

Hopefully, she is able to return without any damage

But has lost some positions

Rodriguez is having quite a busy race, soon enough he'll be facing former champion Aspenström

Nikolov caught up to Girard, the Frenchman has won this race last season

Keranen overtakes Kuei without any trouble

Nikolov is now is front of Girard

Grimaldi overtakes Tung

The same goes for Franz F-F against Briere, the championship leader is out of the points today

Silvestre goes for the overtake against Silva

But the portuguese is able to fight for his position

Silvestre has won the battle, and now Silva have both Viljoen and Nikolov right on his tail

As we see the standings so far we can see that Tafuro and Ihara are both overtaking their oponents

Unseen by the cameras Silva took his position back from Silvestre

Nikolov overtakes the San Marino car, and start his chase for Silva

He is able to pass by

Viljoen tries to overtake Silvestre, but the two are side by side

Viljoen made a mistake, and is now out of the track

He is able to return, but ends up on the other side of the track

Girard gained one position with all this

Dixon is getting close to De Boer, and we may have a fight for the lead

Not much of a fight, as Dixon easily overtakes De Boer and is now the leader of the race

We'll be back shortly for the part 2

GPG Nations Cup Season 4 - Round 13 - Dutch GP - Race day Pt2

And we're back for the second part of the race, just in time of seeing that Grimaldi is right behind Kederer

We can see in his mirror that Grimaldi is looking for a opening

And he goes for the overtake

But Kederer is willing to fight for his position

And he manages to stay in front, good job of our reigning champion

On the next lap however he is facing yet another try by Grimaldi

And once again he is able to remain in front

Grimaldi has two tyres off track after the battle with Kederer

And he goes for a walk on the grass

He returns right behind Tung

Ohh!, we have a yellow flag on, and both Briere and Nikolov are facing the wrong direction

As the replay shows, Nikolov went for the overtake but the turn was too small for both cars

They have to wait for everyone to pass by

And are able to return, Nikolov at 21st and Briere at 22nd

Franz F-F is the first one to stop for the pit stop

And while everyone else is also doing their pit stops, we have a message, something happened to Franz

And is end of race for the Swiss, but what happened?

He left the pits and lost control after just two turns into the track

And ended up hitting the wall

As we see the standings after the first round of stops we can see that Girard didn't stop

Girard already had a problem this season with a penalty regarding the pit strategy

Ihara makes the fastest lap

Domenech overtakes Silva

Tafuro seems to be going for an overtake against De Boer

And he is now in 2nd

Girard's strategy is not paying off as he now has lost two positions, his tyres must be almost at their end

After overtaking Girard, Kederer and Grimaldi are now ready to resume their battle

And Grimaldi goes for it

And he is able to pass by this time

Kuei goes for an unscheduled stop as she has some problems

Meanwhile Girard must now deal with Cremasco and Tung

And they're both through

Nikolov, Kuei and Domenech are all overtaking Girard as well

McGregor overtakes Rodriguez

As Girard finally goes for his pit stop, we can see that Silva is trying a move on Silvestre

And he is able to overtake him

Nikolov overtakes Tung and is now trying to overtake Cremasco, behind them Kuei is going for the overtake against Tung

Girard is being overlapped by Dixon

And Hatfield is able to gain one more position as he overtakes Rodriguez

Nikolov got through Cremasco, and the Brazilian will now be pressured by Kuei

She tries it

And is finally able to overtake him

The second round of pit stops is now underway

After he leaves the pits McGregor goes a little too wide and end up spinning

He returns in 13th

Dixon sets the fastest lap

As all the pit stops are done we can now have a look at the standings

Team uruguay did a good job as Rodriguez is now up to 3rd

Silva overtakes Girard

Hatfield overtakes Rodriguez and is no inside the top 3

As we see how the race has progressed so far, we can see that Keranen and Tafuro have both won 5 places since the start of the race, McGregor on the other hand lost six places, most of them due to his spin

Silvestre overtakes Girard

De Boer is now being pressured by Ihara

The Japanese girl goes for the overtake

Great job by Ihara, she is now inside the top 5

With just one lap to go she is now right behind Rodriguez

She goes for the overtake as we enter the last lap

And she makes it, she sits now in 4th, Rodriguez is in 5th, a great position for him

And that's it, Dixon has won the GP, congratulations to all the New Zealand team and to Scott Dixon, who should be now the new leader of the championship

FLS

STDGS

Cremasco did all he could, good job after all

TEAM UAE

Disappointing not to be able to convert our first pole to a win but a top 3 finish keeps us in the hunt in the championship. Some good overtaking to get us back up into that top 3 however. Look forward to keeping up the form over the next few races.
Antero was close to securing a well needed top 5, but alas we'll have to settle with 7th. We still have chances this season, so we'll be looking to make the most of those opportunities, we have no choice.
Disappointing race.... Hoping for a better result in the next race.

-----------------------------------------------------

We finished outside the points again, most because of the throttle problem, we need to go with a full boost next race
£$%@#! Good job with no boost, then that happens! :(

Extremely pleased! Way more than we expected from the car, having the newest spec Chevy certainly helped a lot and managing a tidy race was crucial. The fact that we climbed up to 3rd until the final laps is very encouraging for the rest of the season and sets up a great base for S5.

Well done team, chivito for everyone! :-)

Stats: 139 Starts / 7 Wins / 9 Poles / 5 Fastest laps
What a debacle.....

Team China

14th. Pretty disappointed to miss out on points, but that was the best Cheng could do without boost. Hopefully we can get a better result in the next round, so we'll start planning for then.

Also, regarding the penalty for France, seeing that they finished a lap down, I don't think the penalty is going to affect their overall position unless the split between France and Canada at the end is less than 10s. So what would the best outcome be for the penalty?

Ok result, considering I didn't use a boost.

No penalty, there's no screen showing the gap between France and Canada, so just leave it as it is. Shouldn't make a difference anyway.

4th place & 2nd fastest overall race lap. Good on you, Ihara san! Targeting the podium next I guess. Some nice points greatfully received (^_^)/
