Live coverage sounds amazing!

Would anyone else prefer the race to be put back slightly later into the evening at all on Sunday?

As for dual commentary... whoever is running the session, could they not stream it via VLC player?

And them all commentators login to a skype session where they both watch whoever is streaming it?

I would love to have a go at this!!!! :D

or, the guy hosting the race, if they have an extra machine or laptop with a webcam, crudely point the webcam at the screen showing the race. Both commentators can still discuss it through Skype.

Interesting ideas dan... I will take a look into the first one, and the second one is relatively easy. One of the main issues I've found with Skype is maintaining the quality. If the non recording person had weak Internet the quality of their voice in the streaming side tends to be awful. This can be corrected by editing etc, but live steaming allows me to get rid of editing videos for hours on end and gets the coverage out quicker. Of course if you all have really good Internet then it's no problem . Testers qualifying and race will definitely be solo commentary as before Wednesday I have no time to really test anything. The full quali/race may also be this way depending on what time I have, but for future recordings I will definitely look into it.

As for the main race, I'm flexible for any time Sunday. If most of you want it later then I'm happy to move it back

Can we do a sort of countdown on the forum in hours on the day itself till the race starts? Then I dont have to count back in different timezones etc

A countdown is a great idea. Make one here. Use 'generate raw BBL' and test and if it does not work use 'generate raw URL'.

Wish i could say yes, but.... it is just after 6am Australian EST, and i am off to work soon. Qual will be run at 8am local time, and i will be slaving away at my desk - somehow i dont think my boss would appreciate me watching live GPGSL! LOL Then again, he is a motor racing fan...hmmm
