Not much to add here. Very true words. I don't know if Stu is about to run the weekend already, but I know that he is pretty busy in RL right now. So, if you wanna step up and run the round, better ask him by PM first, or otherwise be patient. Sooner or later somebody will have the time to run the round. But it's definitely not me this time, since my RL is like crazy, too.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Whoever is going to run the upcoming round, take your time :) I'll be awaiting patiently for it!

Know it's going to be a good one though! Hopefully 6 different winners in both drivers and teams!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Yep, a quality coverage takes time. And real world life takes priority for everyone....

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
I'm tempted to have a go, but I'd need somebody to give me tips on how to do it properly, with an acceptable degree of quality. Since it'd be my maiden coverage, it won't be as cool as your usual RD's work (Stu, John, Chris, Glen, etc.). But I'm willing to do my best. And there's a first time for everything!

Is that so?! Maybe you should try doing a round and juggle it along with real life?

Anyway, Free Practice has been run. I just need to sort the screenshots out and it will possibly be posted later :)

Connor Steer has volunteered to run the next round which will be held at the Boromo circuit for the first time. He is planning to broadcast this via a live stream with a video download posted later. This event will also feature a sprint race for the test series. Dates and times will be posted after the Canadian GP. The mods will also be updated for this round too. There have been a few updates of helmets and cars that need to be included before the Boromo round can be run, so, please bear with me ;)

Thats amazing! Will be great to see the race live! I would be interested to see the specs for Connors computer as I imagine you need quite a lot of grunt to film the race and live stream it as well.

Sorry for double post and all that jazz but I seem to have *Crosses fingers* a working version of GP4 on my old windows laptop, which I might add my dear brother helped to rescue for me. I am gently building it up with GP4 patch, zaz tools GPXpatch etc...here's hoping I can run a race again soon.

Great news! :-) I'm really looking forward for that livestream... a live chat would be the most awesome thing, even more awesome via Skype, but I think I'm being too ambitious hehe.

Anyway, I'd really like to help the league by running an event (maybe Interlagos). The night is all mine after work and on weekends but in march, uni starts and I'm screwed ;-) Until then, I have a pretty good deal of time.

oh oh I wonder! I may have had an idea. I would be more than willing to commentate on the event if it could be setup somehow. Or we could do a fully-featured highlights video afterwards like the FSR do. I have after effects and would be willing to have a go.

Free Practice

Hi everyone! The GPGSL circus has gathered here at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Île Notre-Dame, Montreal, Quebec for Round 6 of the GPGSL Season 8.
Unfortunatley in true GPGTV.org/Farked style, all the first runs was missed by the camera teams due to a strike over a dispute about doughnut supply.

Normal service, however, has been restored. Here are the standings so far.

1 Moinet \ SCR
2 McCarthy \ MPR
3 Vilela \ ONE
4 Jalving \ MPR
5 van Smirren \ VSM
6 Thomas \ AMR
7 de Boer \ SCR
8 Ingers \ VXR

9 McGregor \ MAC
10 Warrington \ VSM
11 Pellatt \ TSM
12 Mills \ TNR
13 Sevastian \ AMR
14 Roedl \ ONE
15 Brunner \ SMS
16 Silvestre \ MAC

17 Sheppard \ DMR
18 Nell \ DMR
19 Cramer \ TNR
20 O'Brien \ VXR
21 Copeman \ TSM
22 Stoddart \ SMS

Cramer moves up two spots to 17th.

John Warrington, having stepped down from the Scuderia Minardi race team, is now concentrating on developing the VSM-Mitsubishi, he sets the fastest time so far.

Jalving improves his time, but stays in 5th.

Glen Sheppard makes a massive improvement to jump from 18th to 3rd!

Silvestre make a similar improvement, 17 to 4th.

Copeman moves up the field, but is still in the bottom half in 16th.

Series leader, Sevastian, moves up one place to 14th. Looks like the Montreal circuit isn't to the Tibetan's liking.

O'Brien struggling in the VXR, improves to a9th.

Nell goes faster in the Demon, but not enough to move up from his 21st position.

Roedl moves up five places to 12th.

Let's look at the standings after the 2nd runs.

Mills puts his TNR into 3rd, less than a tenth behind current leader Warrington.

Mill's team mate and brother from another mother, Cramer, can only manage 19th.

Stoddart grabs an handful of position to climb from last to 9th.

Copeman takes 18th, but wait! He was already 18th!

Jalving finally decides to stop messing about and stamps his authority all over the test session by taking top spot.

Van Smirren demonstrates the Mitsubishi power unit's potential by making it a VSM 2-3.

O'Brien moves up to 16th.

Thomas has a dreadful lap, 20 seconds off the pace.

Brunner moves up eight to 12th.

Stay tuned for the official results.

Official Free Practice Results

Sorry about the loss of screenies at the beginning guys. I am at a total loss as to what happened! :-O

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Gee. Whizz.

That bodes well!

We used a boost and everything. This is getting ridiculous!

Looking good so far :)

Solid free practice, we tried some different tyre stratagies and levels of fuel. Its a great rack to drive on, so I had fun yes! In the end the team gave me 1 qualifying run and this lap was good enough for P1. But I am realistic enough to know that I must find some more time for qualifying, it will be hard.

Great to see the VSM with their Mitsubishi in 2nd and 3rd! I almost feel sorry for being in front of them at their debut testing :P

boosts definetely help well. Apart from when you do not use them ;)

So, yeah, was expectable for my part. Of course happy to see my boss grab 6th place. Great job.

Private comment to Pedersen: Yep, as if I gave you a Ferrari :-p
Could send you one of those small toys to play around with. The other part is, well, impossible.

And for the live stream thingy: I'll definetely look into this whole thing at some random time (possibly later because of A-levels and stuff), was just dreaming of a completely recorded test-session with numerous interviews and stuff. Meanwhile looking at results or something. But first we can watch a hopefully really great Live-Stream of Connor. Only hope it's not like 3 in the morning.

Greetings
Silverman
