Actually this can be true, there was a full onboard lap with Nico and he reached 319 before the last chicane where Hamilton was only doing 306 (or 308) which is quite a difference.

It could be clever by Mclaren though as the rest are on their limit with the DRS open mclaren are not so they will be able to pass people but I would have thought they would want pole.

They are not starting near MS and the Renaults in a nasty part of the grid where they are open to a 1st lap crash.

It is raining now in Canada and its expected to carry on.

Picture this: You're sat in the team motorhome, eating lunch, relaxing and watching the weekend. Then, a member of Sauber walks in, and says to you: "'are you ready? It's very likely you will have to get in the car." You then look at your watch. You only have 10 minutes to get everything ready, including helmet, overalls, seat, pedals, learning the controls of the new car...

That's what De La Rosa has happen to him, what a rush it must have been. Just read on Autosport, and this is exactly how it panned out.

Not exactly from what I've heard. He had been told that he was on stand by for the Sauber team during the weekend, but still it must've been quite a hassle!

Also, it has been raining for quite a bit now in Canada, so much of the rubber laid down will have been washed away. Ideally, it would stop now, the track dries up and it would start raining 5 laps in :P

The race will start wet from what they are saying, it is not heavy so it just depends if the cars make a dry line and have to change tyres.

Looks like the gamble Mclaren took might pay off, if they get round the 1st corner that is.

Yeah, he was told a few days agp that he *might* drive, but it was only 10 mins before FP2 he was told that he really was going to drive :P

Let's hope the rain stays, the one thing we haven't had this year is a wet race on Pirellis, we could all do with that...

I think Force India might be on a wet setup too. They weren't as fast on the speed traps yesterday as they were on Friday IIRC.

LOL @ the DC and MS walkaround. References to old rivalries and Spa '98 fight mentioned. The German porn gag was hilarious.

I remember Nurburgring 2007 when they didn't start behind the safety car and it was such an awesome race. it indeed is a shame.
