I remember an interview with him on the grid before the 2002 Australian GP, when he was hanging onto a pair of grid girls. He looked like a sleazy old pervert.

That's not totally true. Stoddart and Kolles had agreed both not to take part. Minardi and Jordan were quite close performance wise and they wanted a straight battle for being not last in the championship. Kolles however didn't stick to the agreement and entered his cars, so Stoddart had to follow suit. The chances for Minardi to become second last in the championship were destroyed. What followed was the infamous Stoddart interview on Dutch television ;)

Kolles and Stoddart are as bad as each other. Stoddart only got into Champ Car because he essentially blackmailed the organisers into funding his team. When IndyCar and CCWS were merged together, the IndyCar bosses told him where to go.

Oh I'm not saying Stoddart was a good guy, he just wasn't all to blame in this particular situation, even though he could've been a real man by keeping his cars in the pit lane. Stoddart was a character and that's where his addition to F1 stops. He tried to bend the rules because he didn't have his job done etc. F1 is better off without him. Kolles is the same, although he isn't even a character, but just an unreliable man.

@#$%&. My turn to have a blond moment. :P
I thought that was a video of part of the race and the interview followed the race, my bad. I really should've actually read the title of the vid and believed it as well... Just as well you explained to me it was a YouTube vid.
Yeah, there's a nice glimpse of the real Stoddart :P

"Trulli was slowing down like he wanted to have a picnic" LOL

Not a hope! Kimi's was made by the sheer enjoyment in his face as he unleashed it on Brundle, and the manner in which it was done.

Epic stuff, played on nicely by Brundle with his follow-up line. :D
