Quite amused to read Christian Horner saying the following...."Christian Horner has said that Mark Webber’s early qualifying knock-out in China on Saturday was due to a team decision rather than a personal call from the driver."
Just amazing that the team would even play with this strategy - surely they would have known the danger of not being fast enough, and why even risk it in the first place?? Having read RBR's facebook page, and all the negative comments, it seems fans are clearly expressing their disgust at the seemingly blatant favouritism to Vettel.
As an Aussie, of course I think the same! LOL But..... why would the team even do this? Sure, it could be happening, but it is a very risky thing to be doing!! When/if Vettel again wins todays GP, he should be sitting pretty with 75 points, then IF there is blatant funny buggers going on at RBR with all the KERS issues for Webber, then this terrible call in qualifying, Webber may be far back enough in points for the team to say to Mark, "you need to help Seb".
As a sports fan, i sincerely hope stuff like that is not going on at RBR - thought we had seen the end of that when Schuey left Ferrari.
And as an Aussie, it seems "miraculous" that Webber has all the problems with his car, the team "accidentally" makes a disgraceful call in qualifying, whilst Red Bull poster boy Vettel steams on to poles, and wins.
Arrrgh, I am a frustrated Aussie and Webber fan, but I am over it! (Going overseas on holidays so F1 won't bother me for 6 weeks anyway!!!). Good luck to Vettel - he is a good, fast driver, no doubt about it. But I hope he isn't been handed an automatic advantage because the team knows Webber is just as good in equal machinery.
Oh well, will be watching the race this afternoon. And when Vettel is 5 seconds in front after 2 laps, the tv will be turning off......
End of rant......lol
