Lotus Renault GP - wtf!?

because its not the constructor is it!!!!!


if renault are just engines

and lotus is just a TITLE SPONSOR

then the constructor is ????....???....

edit - i get it i may have ignored a bit in the original post :/

"Lotus Renault GP will continue to compete with the Renault chassis name and Renault will enjoy ‘pre-eminent brand exposure’ on the livery."


so then

Constructor Name (for example Mclaren) - Renault
Team Name (for example Vodafone McLaren mercedes) - Lotus Renault GP
Chassis Name (for example mclaren mp4-25) Renault R31

so on the 2011 tv graphics it will still say Kubica - Renault


if this is true then there is no confusion at all really lol, just stupidity by proton trying to confuse people.

I'm sure the chassis will be called Lotus-Renault R31 (maybe with a different designation) - like BMW Sauber F1.09


Calling the team Renault on the TV screens is the logical move, but I'm sure Group Lotus will try and stop them as it wouldn't suit them to be called Renault when Tony's team would be Lotus Renault...

Well according to Peter Windsor, Tony was told at the F1 Commission meeting yesterday that he must change his team name, so we may not have a problem anyway...

EDIT: now other journos are mentioning that this isn't the case.
