Mclaren are keeping the new rear end on the car for the weekend now.

All of Buttons running today was high fuel loads and his times were on par with Alonso and the rbr cars so its looking good for a 3 way race.

I'd guess Bahrain - I think tobacco advertising is still allowed there - but there must be some sort of agreement to stop them using it.

Should be a dry a FP3! Good to get an idea of performance now I think.

Keep an eye on Virgin, that car's found alot of speed with from what I can see, a new diffuser! Looked as quick as Lotus in Silverstone but there are more updates here. Finally some good from that team.

Just watching the BBC qualifying build-up (about 10min behind the live coverage) and during the section on the drivers opinions on the track... Kylie Minogue played in the background... surely that's the first time Kylie has been used on the F1 coverage. Who'd have thought that from someone who brought us such classics as The Locomotion and I Should Be So Lucky...

I suppose you can't accuse the BBC coverage of not being diverse.

button , dont know
massa, definately nothing solved. he was .5 slower than alonso again :(
it is really really sad. a couple of years ago in 2007 and espoecially 2008 everybody was talking about massa and his title chances at brasil 2008. now everyone is talking about all the drivers, button, hamilton , schumi, rosberg , alonso and webber and vettel but it seems that everyone forgott about felippe :( i hope he can win tomorrow.
as for schumi (because i know you are a big fan of his). he did a good lap actually in Q2 but that mercedes is just painfully slow. even rosberg who is extremellly fast in one lap and has always showed it, barely beat schumis time and was only 9th. what a shame for mercedes. they have to bring the car up to speed ! they just have to!

great job vettel for claiming the pole :) this track suit Ferrari very well and they have done good job for copying RedBull. Alonso may suffer from the dirty side tomorrow but depends on the weather.

yep did noticed it, bad hit in the chin for them, at least Michael had some high hopes... wow i didn't knew Felipe was .5 from Alonso again... :( he's been relatively well in races so hopefully tomorrow he'll be there... Vettel has a job in his hands with Fernando no doubt

So mclaren have gone for a low down force setup that did not help in quali but should allow them to over take in the race. Maybe they thought pole was out the question and will rely on their race pace which has been good this year.

I can see Vettel and alonso getting together at turn 1 anyway.

That's all very well if they can catch the Red Bull and Ferrari in the first place.

Yes that's what I thought as well lol. But the mclaren lacks one lap pace so maybe they will be closer in the race but I recon massa will hold up webber and the rest if he does not run wide :). I think it will be a close race but I cannot see everyone getting round that first corner.

Massa won't hold anyone up. They'll just go past him when he runs off at turn 1 every lap. I think he's been @#$%& this season, and despite Alonso having a shocking season (both his luck and his own judgement) Massa has failed to take advantage to the point where he's still 21 points behind. That almost takes effort in itself.
