LOL.

But yeah, it's true. If Vettel had won the first two races - which he's been pretty unlucky not to do - he'd be looking massively strong right now. As it is, with the form he's in and the RBR starting to look reliable at last, his situation is still easily recoverable.

RBR should count themselves lucky that Ferrari own goal'd twice. Once having Massa in front of Alonso in Australia (not saying they should have swapped them, but it was still a massive fail) and one with Sepang qualifying.

Indeed. As it stands, it's almost as if the season didn't start yet for Ferrari/RedBull/McLaren. I see a lot of people saying that Ferrari and McLaren will soon overtake RedBull...but I really doubt it. Probably will give them a hard time, and they might win a few races were RedBull run into problems, but I think Vettel will run with the championship.

Alonso does not think Vettel would have won the first 3 races at all.

He says he was faster at the 1st race and had he not spun at the 2nd race he would have won, and had button not gone off after his pit stop he would have been in front of Vettel anyway.

So yes Vettel lost points in the 1st 2 races but would he have won had everything gone ok for the others? Who knows.

Mclaren and Ferrari are really not that far away from RBR and if they get a clear weekend without problems by the drivers and teams they will be up there winning.

Everyone seems to forget this year that the pace they show at times, doesn't has to be the pace they CAN have, Webber said in Malaysia they could go alot faster then they already did, but it wasn't needed, I think the same went for Bahrain, Vettel was just cruising, saving his tyres, where as Alonso was using them up quite fast at some point. Lap times and fastest laps really doesn't say it all this year with the new rules, you've seen what happens when a car which is 2 seconds faster gets stuck behind someone. Red Bulls are doing the same trick, they don't use more pace then needed, to save their tyres.

McLaren are now the only team NOT to have registered a retirement so far in 2010!

Alonso was still classified, but I know what you mean! As soon as they get qually sorted, I think they will be RBR's biggest threat.

2013 - Nando must come through..
No one has won a Grand Prix from anywhere but the SECOND row of the grid!!!

Alonso: 3rd (Bahrain)

Button: 4th (Australia)

Vettel: 3rd (Malaysia)

In a way Alonso is quite lucky that he did not finish the race.

Had he needed a new gearbox would he have had to drop 5 places?
On the subject of RedBull's pace, Christian Horner said that they weren't using full revs after the first third of the race.

it was in Melbourne too, i remember Jonathan Legard talking about it, and pointing it out during a Mercedes pitstop. i assume it was at Bahrain too, although i didn't notice it or hear anyone mention it.

i will try to find a videoclip of it for you.

edit: found a clip of them doing pitstop practice at a jerez test:

&NR=1[/clip]

see how after he lifts the car up, he can move to the side because of the hinge in the jack?

yes i saw the jack movement.i think they have perfected it for malaysia because their pitstop time was almost half a second quicker than the other teams.

Raja Hassan Bin Naeem.
Alonso has the same amount of points as Hirvonen (WRC), but more coincidentally, they both won the 1st race, came 4th in the 2nd race, and retired in the 3rd.

Do you do these things for a living? ;)
The race pace early on, with heavy fuel, was close to fastest 1999 lap!!! ;)

1999: 1m 40.267s

2010: will look this up and add later
