Not sure about that, I think they would probably want to distinguish themselves from them.

Maybe they've signed, or are close to signing, a title sponsor, which would explain why they haven't already applied to change their name yet.

Talking about the Ferrari, did Massa drive the F10 yesterday? Because I haven't really found any pictures on Formula 1 sites .

I was of the understanding that Kobayashi would be bringing panasonic money to the team? I know they've lost Petronas to Mercedes so we wont be seeing any turquoise on the car, but they still have Certina afaik.

Yes, that was rumoured before the deal was announced, but I don't know if it has any substance or not.

Certina are on the mirrors only, iirc from the press release.

hopefully they do have some good sponsors though, because i would like to see the team do well, and to do this in the long term, they will need some good sponsorship.


EDIT: Just remembered, Joe Saward posted a rumour a few weeks ago that Nespresso might sponsor the team as well. So, another possibility.

Looks like it is official, Petrov is contracted as 2nd Renault-driver! I saw it on a Dutch website.

I'd like to see the Sauber looking brown and gold, like really old school porno brown.

Oh, ok. But I wonder, wasn't the Sauber black due to the fact that it was sponsored by Mercedes? In either way, I really look forward to that car. I always liked the Sauber-team.

Just listened that BMW didnt won more than a race in 2008 (before they stopped the development of the car) because Petronas fuel wasnt good enough... This would be bad for Mercedes...

EDIT: kimifanaat, i think Mercedes wasnt a sponsor and only were engine supplier. in Prototypes Sauber-Mercedes cars were black too, and when Mercedes mounted their own team they were silver, so I think Peter Sauber likes black

Ow ok, thanks for letting me know. I only followed F1 since 1998 :D.

I have only followed F1 since 2000 - the year Button started, and the first of 5 consecutive championships for Schumi.

the "spy" Williams video clip looks massively fake. just look at any video taken at a race or test session on youtube and compare with how polished and well-produced this video was.
