2010 Car Launch thread

Just a week to go folks!

I have unne question. Mclaren have been silver since 1997. Mercedes will be silver this year. It would not make sense to have two very similar liveries.
So. Are we going to see a very different Mclaren livery this year, or are they going to return to red and white? I hope it's the latter, but I doubt it.

The Mercedes is likely to be silver with the horrible greenish of Petronas, while McLaren will be silver and red. That's pretty easy to distinguish.

I think it was already confirmed that McLaren will be the same livery.

i have read comments from Lucas di Grassi... he said that the virgin car is BLACK

BRM were green.

What's the betting that the Virgin car is now completely white? Good ol' bluff from the team there.

Dunno if it is so horrible if rest of design is better than in those photoshopped Brawn/Mercedes pics..

Williams as predicted will not hold an official launch. The new FW32 will appear at the first test on the 1st February.

Lol, always had to love the Williams way of launching. Whilst McLaren were busy being grandiose by having Spice Girls on stage or closing off cities, Williams simply turned up at a test, rolled out the car for a shakedown and then said "oh hi, we built a new car by the way.."

Thats the way it should be done !

I don't remember exactly, I believe it was Tyrrell 1998, but I liked the way. Mount the car in a london pub an have a launch party there. :D

The only Tyrrell launch I only really remember is when Ukyo Katayama got in the cockpit for the obliquely photos and disappeared!
