Awesome job on the front page!

Maybe asking a little too much here, but any idea what tv stations are showing F1 live in certain countries?

I'm in Korea for the first race, and have no idea what channel it'll be on, and i'll be in Germany for a few weeks, so i'd like to know what channel i should watch too.

I think ESPNs Claire Funnell sums it up pretty well:

"Prospective team Stefan GP has bought what remained of Toyota’s F1 operation - which had already surrendered its grid spot – and Serbian boss Zoran Stefanovic says his team is ready to race in Bahrain. It is now far too late to re-open the tendering process for 2010, but allowing a team to effectively jump the queue makes a mockery of the whole process.
The sport does need new teams, no doubt about it. But what it needs are well funded, competitive outfits, which have the strength and determination to develop and enjoy a long future in the sport. Not ones that are just there to make up the numbers."

Couldn't agree more with that. People wanted Stefan GP to get that magic 26 car grid, not because they wanted Stefan GP. Nobody complained when they weren't chosen in the first tender process. Everybody laughed at them when they sued the FIA. Now, when the numbers are lower than expected, they suddenly are the saviours of F1 and the FIA is stupid to deny them an entry. I think the FIA has done the right thing.
Liking the Hispania car, although theres starting to be a bit too much grey this season.

Can't help but think they'll struggle with two rookies.

Yup, agreed totally there. They have to draw the line somewhere. And we'll still have 24 cars starting in Bahrain, which will be the most on any grid since Adelaide '95. So, far from a bad situation really.

Hey guys the only thing i wanted is to have JV back cause he is great and would be much better than all of those rookies.

i think its the right decision in the end.

Toyota gave up their slot. you can't just give Steffan GP the place just because they happen to have their car.

re-opening the applications for next season seems the best way forward.

wonder if some of the unsuccessful applicants from last time around will re-apply?

The only thing is is Stefan had 'bought' Toyota, they would have made that slot, a la Honda > Brawn.

The trouble was Toyota quit and then Stefan GP bought the assets.

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
imo Chandok doesnt deserve his race suit, TBH I watch gp2 and during his time there he did not really impress like others. Ok he won a good race at Spa but I cant actually think of top moments from him unlike what I can for drivers like Hamilton,Grosjean, Rosberg for example.

Dont get me wrong, i like an indian driver has made it in again, but is this because the people him and his dad knows+sponsors or actual talent?

Actually Brawn didn't just assume Honda's slot. Brawn were given special dispensation due to the gravity of the situation (the small grid, the number of employees still working there, etc). It's why they were given 22 & 23 - they were new entrants.

Ok my apologies.

But would you not think had Stefan been there to say we will take over, before Toyota just pulled the plug, they would be here now?

yes.

but that case would have been different as they'd have taken over toyota's entry in the world championship too.
From F1technical news. No wonder Stefan didn't get a place! I wonder how they lasted as long as they did?!

Recent uncovered details about the parent company of Stefan GP have revealed just why the FIA may have denied the team a grid slot for 2010. With its financial detail unveiled and dubious claims unraveled, the business looks like a fraud, rather than an F1 team owner.

Zoran Stefanovic, the team's owner and apparent investor, owns a Serbian engineering company named AMCO. Before supporting Stefanovic's Formula One foray Stefan GP, Cologne based Toyota Motorsport was told AMCO was involved with space and military technology.

AMCO claimed it worked with Germany's Federal Defence Force (Bundeswehr) on flight drones and contributed to the European Space Agency's orbit launch rocket Ariane 5. In fact web pages were set up to popularise this belief.

"After consulting with the system manufacturers of the drones KZO and LUNA we can confirm that in the Bundeswehr product there are no technologies of the Serbian company AMCO," said a spokesman of the German defence department Bundesamtes fur Wehrtechnik und Beschaffung to Express.

Furthermore, the financial situation of AMCO also came to light by consulting the Serbian company registry. It appears there that AMCO Corporation is a limited liability company, founded on 14/03/2008 with a capital of 500 euros (80% for Zoran Stefanovic and 20% for Vuk Stefanovic).

Going further, the company that totals one single employee, realised 3315 Euro in 2009 and a net result of 42.7 Euro.

Considering these claims, it may come to no surprise why Stefan GP was not allowed an entry into 2010.
