Yeah, Heidfeld would be a much better choice than De La Rosa..

Formula1.com has posted some side-by-side analysis of a 2009 F1 car and a 2010 F1 car:

I've mirrored the images so that we can get an idea what the full car might look like...

2011 would make sense. They dont want to go all out with fancy technology!

2013 - Nando must come through..

There are rumors Schumacher might finally make the jump to F1 this year after 19 years of driving in GP2 newcomer series

LOL neon red helmet, with a merc logo slapped on!

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it

I was wondering if he'd stick with the red, but i guess this might just be a mildly-hurried sticker removal on an existing lid.

I still wouldn't be surprised if he has a non-red one for the car launch.

I think you're correct there, as the white line at the top of his helmet still forms a box where the Marlboro logo used to be

He'll either go back to his pre-2000 helmet..or the bits that he replaced with ferrari red in 2000 will now be mercedes silver.

Maybe even back to that short lived 1993 helmet?

Maybe he'll go from something completly new?

Its a shame that some drivers change their helmet colours when they feel like it these days. There always used to be a sense of identity in a driver's chosen colour scheme. Some from history are very memorable.

I remember Frentzen testing the 1996 Williams in a sponser free helmet...it looked excellent! Then of course he bcame an official driver and the sponsers ruined it somewhat!

just goes to show how bright that helmet color scheme was, wow!
I personally prefer helmet colours from mid 90's. Crisp, defined colors, unlike these days where by it looks like someone ate different color paint and then threw up on the helmet.

I was more or less expecting something similar to that, just the lid would be turquoise like the Petronas main colour.

I think he will go back to his original color

1 question for gord on wheels: how was that schumi´s "short lived 1993 helmet?" I see some 1993 photos and it looks like his normal helmet until 1999

His helmet was different in 93, Gord is right. But he came back with the old style in 94 until Monaco 2000.

It wasn't used for all of 93, only a brief period. There are many examples of him racing in 93 with the "classic" helmet design.
