I just read this on Twitter. Oh come on, if you're bad in a Renault you'll be even more suckeh in your own car!

The last thing F1 needs is a crap driver racing around at the back for daddys team

They'd fail horribly. Piquet Jnr cant drive and Piquet Snr cant manage! The past one and a bit years have made that evidently clear lol. It'd be good for someone to assure the Renault staff they actually have a job at the moment, as we all have a nagging feeling that Renault aren't going to be around for long. But Piquet successfully running his own team is as likely as him ever winning a race!
A better bet for Renault would be for Epsilon Euskadi to buy the facilities and staff (including a certain Mr Alonso). That way they have people with recent F1 experience, a hell of a strategist in Pat Symonds and a Spanish hero and all the local support you could ever want

Yeah only thing is that Epsilon already have a base in Spain
However Joan Villadelprat did work at Benetton for quite a few years, so if Renault do pull the plug on the F1 team there could be a new home for those old Benetton faces at Epsilon
