How about following gridbids and having a rule that the previous picks are used again if you forget it?
Maybe just for the next race, or you score 75% the first race, 50% the second or soemthing?

So hows this new rule (fun to make new rules all the time - just like real f1 :p)
If you forget to post, your previous races prediction are used but you only score 75% of what you would've got.
Forget for a second consecutive race, the same predictions are used and you score 50%.
Forget for a 3rd consecutive race, the same predictions are used and you score 25%. After that you score 0.

I think once our final results are posted then they're final. Otherwise we might never know the results. What if the difuuser gang are DQed later?

If the diffuser bunch are DQ'd at a later date I still think the results should stand as at the time we predicted the results knowing for these given races they will be legal.

though nothing changes TOO much, i do think pending rules and FIA classifications should be the way to rule this because they are the official results.
otherwise you could say hakkinen actually won that race in what was it, 1999? when he pulled out the last lap with engine failure.
if its not the official result, its not the real result in my opinion. not fussed, just my two cents! besides, its only a game, lol!

What about when MS was Dqed for the season in 97? We need some cut off date for our restults to stick, and theres only after the official result is announced by the stewards, or the end of eternity... who wants to wait?
And what if Mclaren appeal? that could be months.
Only 1 person loses if its changed, and theres only real change in the F1 points championship, although Wiliams would take the team win
If anyone else has opinions please post. From now on I think the first official result should stand, or wait for 1 or 2 days..?

I still think that the official results should be used, even if they have been changed after the race.

I still think that the official results should be used, even if they have been changed after the race.
But official results might not be known will the middle of next year.
For the Oz GP we have had 3 or 4 official results, and it could change again if the diffusers get thrown out.
The best result would be LH and JT in 3rd and 4th as that was the way the race 'really' ended. JT lost 3rd due to his off, and LH was confused about it, so those 2 should've swapped.
We know the diffuser situation and should pick cars accordingly, not pick them thinking they'll be DQ'ed later - for us we want to pick the results on the day.
If LH dominates practice this weekend then we pick him to win - if he's later thrown out for the season for lieing then thats unfair on those who picked him for this race.
