As i said in another thread, i think they'll be a bit like Stewart in 1999. They have two respected and experienced drivers just like Stewert did in 1999. They have a good looking car, (not that helps speed i know but i've always like the 1999 Stewart and i like the 2009 Brawn). Barrichello did some of his best driving in 1999 and hopefully will do again this year.

So using my clumsy comparison (!), I think Brawn could get the odd podium or two...might even lead a race at some stage and should get a good handful of points.

Brawn will have an excellent debut season i reckon....its the second season i reckon they'll slip back a bit.

Its safe to say they won't come to Melbourne and do a Lola in 1997 anyway!

Any other Brawn sceptics left? I think they're going to be ok for points...but winning races and podiums...I don't know, I'm not convinced. If they do well in Australia, I will gladly eat humble pie. Or send it in a nice box to Bruninho's house.

Well, I must admit the hype is getting the better of me. As some of you might know, I'm not a fan of Massa, so the possibility of having Rubens in a winning car again pleases me a lot. I know the chances of that happening are very low, but I can't help and have some wishfull thinking about it. I really hope Brawn GP is everything that they appear to be for a number of reasons...different team winning, Rubens back in contention and so on. If they aren't, I won't be disappointed, but I still hope they are :)

and dont forget, ROSS (brawn) can always make a car go quicker , thanks to strategy.
his best shots for me personally were :
1998 Hungarian gp , Schumacher from 3rd to 1st
Magny Cours 2004 Schumacher from 2nd to first ahead of alonso ( making mihcael drive on 4 stop strategy)
silverstone 2008 Barrichello from ....... and dont know how far far behind TO 3rd

+ many many others ;)
GO GO BRAWN GP !

Same here, I just cannot believe they can keep up this pace. Maybe first race, but they will have a set back, as they won't have enough money to develop as fast as the topteams.

Anyone also notice the sponsors at the bottom.

Bridgestone (ofcourse)
PerkinElmer
AlpineStars (ofcourse)
Ciber?
Cytec?
Endless?
IBM
Laverstoke Park?
STL?

Now the ones with the question marks I haven't heard of but could they be the real deal?

they look more like partners than major sponsors to me. especially since bridgestone is given much more prominence than them.

That's a horrible CV actually...the last good car this man had a hand in was 1997 Prost/Ligier. After that, crap Prosts, back of the field Minardis, joined Williams just in time for the downturn and then jumped onto the failboat that was Honda.

They have been on there since the first day the site went up. I know endless is parts or something. Am just guessing all are very small companies just provinding parts etc?

I hear that Brawns diffuser is illegal. Red Bull are saying it gives them a five tenths of a second advantage every lap

McLaren already copied it and the very next test they ran more stable and weren't a laughing stock (for that one day).

Always seems to happen, doesn't it? Team A start going well, then Teams B and C claim they're breaking the rules.

Red Bull are only annoyed because it would be a more difficult job to implement into their own design...

To say it gives 5tenths is pure bs.

Red Bull can not blindly come out and say that, lets be honest...!

I just wish the other teams would stop chucking their toys out the pram! This just seems a classic case of, "We havent got it, it looks better than our solution, lets get it banned!"

Mosley just kinda said: leave it until Australia and let the stewards decide it. Which hasn't helped the mess. I dunno whether they'll be banned or allowed, but with no in season testing, whoever wins is going to have a serious advantage.
