People seem to be forgetting that all the in their eyes great tracks are far too narrow for F1 cars. (Road America, Adelaide, Kyalami, probably Mexico City too)

Champ Car and CART has had no problem at Road America since...forever. It has been racing around Mexico City for awhile too with no issues.

It's a land of sand and money, honey and an occupation short of Abu Ghraib.

If F1 returns to the US it should be Road America, with a few extra trimmings to make it look the part.

It doesn't look like the provisional calendar's designed to save on transport fuel.

Don't take F1 to Road America. You'd need to destroy most of the circuit and install chicanes, hairpins and run off areas for F1 to go there. It would ruin the circuit for other series such as IRL (which plans to go there for 2009) and ALMS.

The only circuit I really dislike is Barcelona. Shame Jerez is banned from holding a GP apparently.

Well, I wanna see this calendar

Brasil GP (Interlagos)
Argentinia GP (Buenos Aires)
San Marino GP (Imola)
Monaco GP (Monte-Carlo)
Spain GP ("old" Barcelona)
Canada GP (Montreal)
USA GP (Mid Ohio , Road America or Long Beach)
Great Britain GP (Silverstone)
France GP (Magny-Cours with old end part)
German GP (old Hockenheimring)
Hungary GP (Budapest)
Belgian GP (Spa)
Italian GP (Monza)
Portugese GP (Estoril)
European GP (Nürburgring with Dunlop S)
Chinese GP (Zhuhai)
Japanese GP (Suzuka)
Australian GP (Adelaide)

And then please, cars from 1997. Then we get a nice show :D

if you remove all tracks that tilke had an impact on, you would have a very small calendar unfortunately

Every single track where Tilke has don work:

Sepang
Sakhir
Magny Cours
Hockenheim
Hungaroring
Shanghai
Valencia
Singapore
Fuji
Nurburgring
Istanbul

And now he's done:

Korea
Abu Dhabi
Bucharest Ring
New Dehli

Every track (nearly) has had some sort of Tilke update. But you can overtake on most of his tracks and they do provide good racing.

Don't know if this has been posted before, I definately haven't seen it. I just found what I think is Tilke's design for the Korean GP track. And I already like it! It looks to have a good flow, and hooray for only two hairpins!

it looks like abu dhabi's design will be modified as well

by the sounds of that they may not even use tilke's suggestions, so that might be a nice change to see what someone else can come up with
