my god, talk about over-analysis and still coming to the wrong conclusion. we have all known for a long time that it could be a different Stig for every car he drives, each car company just sends one of their own drivers. and Damon just happened to be one of them, but is certainly not the one and only Stig.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Why do people find the concept of a changing driver so difficult to grasp?

It's blatantly different drivers. One thing people don't seem to pick up on as well, is that the brand of the helmet, overalls and gloves forever seem to be changing, which probably adds weight to the different divers theory.

for the last few series its usually been ben collins. (especially when it involves racing)

he drove as the stig in the 24hr race they did, he randomly turns up on top gear features, and was listed on Hammonds accident investigation report as being a consultant/test driver

but as dave ellis says, it changes quite a bit.

when they get an expensive or rare car to put round the track. its often the person who owns it that ends up driving it.

The 'stunt' type sequences are performed by proffesional stuntmen.

If I remember correctly, they had 4 Stig's registered to the team for the Britcar... 4!

So presumably they use a few drivers entered into that race alone, at least as reserves.

I forgot about them killing off the black stig... You've gotta give it to the makers of TG though, they've kept people guessing - even if it is blatently obvious there is no one 'stig'.

It's only obvious to the real fans though. The vast majority still think it's a single driver (or 1 main driver, and then people like Heikki to drive the Renault F1 car, for instance).
