I've seen many shots of the back of the 2008 wheel, mainly Hamilton it has to be said, and whenever Hamilton changes gear, only the top of what look like 3 microswitches is used. The bottom one I think is the clutch. So what's the one immediately below the gearchange? I'd post a pic to explain which one I'm on about, but I can't find one! :(

Nope, upshift or downshift, it was the top microswitch. It's been bugging me for about the past month, cos I can't figure it out! ;)

Found a pic from the Canadian GP coverage, this should elaborate.



He's pulled the clutch lever, and uses the top one to change gear, up or down.

It was the only time they used that camera in the race IIRC. ;)

well this wheel was taken in use first time at Montreal not at Melbourne.
