The German media already has a name for Michael Schumacher's nine year old son - 'Schumi III'.

Following in the footsteps of father 'Schumi' and his uncle Ralf ('Schumi II';), Mick Schumacher has kicked off his racing career with a low key kart event in Spain.

The local press said the choice of Spain was to 'flee the media pressure'; a claim borne out by the fact that the name on the entry list was 'Mick Betsch', an attempt for anonymity by the use of his mother Corinna's maiden name.

Seven time world champion Schumacher did not attend the race, as Mick was accompanied by his paternal grandfather, Rolf.

The Spanish newspaper Diario AS published a photo of the youngster at the wheel of his racer - believe it or not, an 'Alonso Kart' - wearing the familiar Schumacher helmet, but painted all blue.

He finished his two races at the Sils circuit, near Gerona, tenth and eighth, and Mick Schumacher will also participate in the next three rounds of the competition.

Heard about this 2 days ago. That name thing and different country for racing were pretty smart moves (even it doesnt seem to work so well) unlike Hugos' (Häkkinen) first karting try, wich atleast did sound to be only somekind media stunt..

Another name could be "Schumi V", because also halfbrother of MS & RS was racing atleast in past with somekind touring-cars just dunno what is his name.. And also Cora Schumacher raced atleast in somekind Seat Leon Supercopa serie. :P

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Even Ralf already proved being fast is not genetically ;)

Ive always liked the possibility of a younger Shumacher ( whos quick, so rules you out Dan :p ) coming to F1. Would be awesome to see a grey haired 7time world champion sat on the grid giving his son whos sat on pole a little talk - Probably something about parking the car at the Rascasse or something of the like ;)!

I think the media can F-off over this.

He's just a kid, and I think they should have a blanket ban on reporting like this. They (Schumachers) made every effort to keep this low key. Surely the under 16's have some kind of privacy right!

Yeh well maybe he might star in a film with his dad!

Hollywood is considering making a movie about Michael Schumacher, according to the German's manager Willi Weber.

Schumacher, who retired from F1 racing at the end of the 2006 season, is the most successful driver in the sport's history. He won 91 grands prix, was on the podium 154 times and claimed seven Drivers' Championship titles between 1991 and 2006.

Now the story about his rise to the top of F1 could become a Hollywood blockbuster, according to Weber.

"A Hollywood producer is interested in the life of Michael Schumacher and a film would be called the Michael Schumacher Story with him as the main actor," he told Bunte magazine.

Meanwhile Schumi's son Mick began his motorsport career, taking part in his first kart race in Spain.

The nine-year-old, who was racing under his mother's last name, Betsch, finished eighth and tenth in the races reported Bild magazine.

Bunte, Bild...bilge? Schuey playing himself? Considering is a long way from financing. F1 needs much more of a market in the US before this concept can fly.
