no offense taken, but I am a fan who's been following F1 for almost 2 decades now and anyone who has a slight knowledge will agree with my point. No offense to you :p

Nobody is commenting on them, just about them saying they do/dont like them. Its schoolboy knowledge now that they are one of the main reasons for the lack of racing. That's what this discussion has moved onto. Nobody has mentioned what would better like you say, just what people prefer.

me and gav, or well my post was simply mentioning how awesome these cars. The only talk that could even be closley related to your post is when me and sim were talking, and everything mentioned is correct ;-) :p

Its someones opinion, and you have no right to tell anyone what their opinion should be. You dont need to be 'qualified' to have an opinion.

And just because you watched F1 for 2 decades gives you no right to tell people what they should and shouldn't like on the cars.

Oh you're wrong! Forum rules state otherwise! ;)

To put Guis words a little nicer: You don't know what real F1 racing is like. If you started watching around 2003, you only know the current boring racing. You don't know how the nineties were, with proper racing.

Yeah I would accept that, except I've been waching since around 1994.

My argument isn't over whether the racing is better with winglets or not, it was much better without. My argument was just that you cant tell everyone that thinks the cars look better with winglets that they are wrong, the quality of racing never came into it.

I agree entirely, but to be fair, you could argue that all the back every decade to the 60's (when using aerodynamics for downforce really started) and possibly beyond.

Yep, agree there. I only got to see proper racing from 2001 and that time i knew no jack about it.

I agree, but I'd say that 1980-1993 seasons were better, my dad would say that the 70's were better, and my grandfather would say the 60's... it is different for each people. However I am yet to see someone who likes the racing as it is in the current F1 era ;)

Some people can watch even boring crap like Lost and all other never ending non-sense series where nothing ever happens, so I can also understand them liking current F1.. :P

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

And some nicer looking cars.
And nicer looking rules.

Though I do love F1's ability to use the max to the rules they are given. Sportscars, well LMP's seem like they have more varied ideas in design and the cars do seem a little more interesting.

The new WR is an example. It looks massivley different from all the other LMP2's. Though I find it odd they've gone for such a radical design and yet do not have as many resources as the other teams. Whats your take on this?
