Long time no see too!

Also, i think this is the first Ferrari I really like since the F2004 or the GA.

F2007 was a good car with some weak points, so its pretty common sense they would stick with the design, only with some improvements to kill those weak points ;)

F2008 doesnt look that bad, it has some ARGH! areas but overall the colour just makes you love the car

Hang on, if that picture is to be believed, the wheel base has been lengthened again?! It was already one of the longest in 2007, after all.

You can't take photos with anything more than a pinch of salt regarding dimensions. You don't know the focal length or what lens is on. You can tell they've both been taken with quite a wide-angle lens, so straight-away any comparison is very limited. Do the wheels really toe in and out so much? :P

It seems to have a slightly longer wheelbase than the 2007 car. So it could be better on long sweeping circuits (most of them these days, and crap at places like Monaco and Hungary and Singapore?

nose is a bit ugly in the 2nd pic in the above post, but looks ok from the front. i did like the Toyota wing with the smaller frontwing winglets attached to it.

the nose does look thinner from angled shots, would be nice to see the wing on its own without those extra wings joined to it, just to see how much it differs from the F2007.

and i might have missed it as i just quickly skimmed through this thread looking at pics, but is it named the F2008, or F1-2008, as suggested earlier?

That looks very nice. The wheelbase does look shorter...hopefully it'll bring them some good performance in tighter circuits. I also hope they fixed their issues for Monza...I'd like to see Kimi winning there for the first time :)

I think its the F1-2008 as that is what they say on their site.

Edit: Checked again, its F2008

OK, I thought the nose was only supposed to have one element that provided downforce...

The rear of the car is practically identical. I wouldn't be surprised if they've made the gearbox lighter or changed the suspension.

The head protectors on the cockpit, I think, should be extended about, at most, half a foot. There's still room for a car to take out the driver's head there. Of course seeing the mirrors are a priority, but they're that wide you could afford to have more protection.

yeah, but higher it goes the drivers won't have the space to turn their necks if they wanted

Gearbox lighter? If so then well done seeing as though its got to last 4 races now !

And it was Renault last year who launched with an idential rear to the R25, obviously it was changed by the first race but like always I dont expect these cars to bare much similarity to the ones we will see in Melbourne.

Mclarens turn tomorrow. tbh not expecting much. Its Williams and Hondas iam really looking forward too!
