You mean the mp4-16 shape looks like a ripoff of the f2000?

what's the F2000? if you mean the Ferrari F1 car of the year 2000, it's the F1-2000 ;)

I'm pretty sure Adrian Newey has said in the past that he was inspired by both the F1-2000 for the MP4-16, and the F2001 for the MP4-17.

Dunno what he was thinking though when he put pen to paper and designed the 18A, maybe a small mid-life crisis.

The 18A wasnt a bad car, it was amazing, and ahead of its time by some margin.
Its gearbox was revolutionary, and it was something only BAR could manage in 2004, then later other teams in 2005, and still Midland and arguably RedBull cant achieve now.

It was extremley tightly packaged and a very beautiful car.

Had it been reliable enough to race i fully believe it would have been the quickest thing out there by a country mile!

I guess that car wud have been really great but those big modifications what they had to do to pass crash test and time what those modifications did take was too much.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

Wrong. Mp4-19 was by the team's own admissions, merely a rebadged 18A and utilised many of the same components. We all know what a success that car was...

Ah the 2002 Australian GP, one of my all-time favorites. Kimi's first GP at Macca, and we had some great onboard shots!

Not exactly...

The 19 had a completey different rear end which was one of its main problems...

Also it had a lack of development time because of the 18A, 17D and the 19B being designed.

It was very nice especially when I first saw the pictures of it getting rolled out of the garage at Paul Ricard.
