I usually dont post here but to add fuel to the fire.

Ferrari apparently have a damaged wind tunnel which is leading to the lack of development and them falling away from Mclaren

For those interested:

One reason why Ferrari may have lost its edge

Ferrari's lack of competitiveness in recent races has been a surprise after such a strong start to the year in Australia, Malaysia and Bahrain. It seemed that McLaren had improved significantly and that Ferrari had stood still.

No-one seems to understand why and Ferrari is, by nature, rather secretive and so does not always allow its problems to leak out into the outside world.

One possibility is that Ferrari has been having troubles with its windtunnel.

The team relies heavily on its Renzo Piano-designed windtunnel, rather than running two windtunnels like some of its rivals. The team is investing heavily in CFD technology at the moment and intends to use much more of the virtual technology rather than building a second wind tunnel. This is a sensible strategy but the problem is that if the main windtunnel is out of action, the team may struggle to keep up. Modern F1 windtunnels work round the clock and parts do become worn out as a result. The tunnels require "down time" for suitable servicing.

We hear on the grapevine that about a month ago Ferrari suffered a failure of its rolling road system in the Maranello windtunnel. The rolling roads in the modern F1 windtunnels are made from a steel belt, which circulates at around 180mph. If a rolling road breaks, the damage can be considerable as lumps of metal fly around at 180mph.

The word is that this may have been what happened.

And that Ferrari has been in trouble ever since.

Nice. McLaren walking through the 2007 season to the title quite easy now. LOL! ALONSO FTW!

Somehow I cannot see where these "news" are from. And it sounds like bullshit to save somebodys face.. Anyway nice that some people have enought imagination for story like that.

Kimi, so, Massa Fernando Sebastian is faster than you. Can you confirm you understood that message?

There are a number of stories going round that kimi will not be in a ferrari next year and could be going to toyota.

He has a performance clause in his contract and has not met it.

God knows if its true

I dont think that is true. He is getting better and better atm, he was quicker than Felipe in US, so I think that his time is coming soon.

Why not back to McLaren?

I heard there's an opening there.

"Do you think they will sack Fernando? Where did you heard that?"

It's just a subtle dig @ a McLaren fan looking for any signs of problems/tension within the reds' camp.

On a slightly more serious note, McLaren and Alonso parting company is about as likely as Raikkonen and Ferrari. To start making judgments after only 7 races about their future is a little to much even in the fickle world of F1.

Yeah, i belive it's too fast take any conclusions, and i bet you on what you want that kimi and massa will be for 2008 too, if not 2009 and so on. Kimi won a race, had a pole, and had podiums, so it isn't like he DNF every race. He's starting to improve, as fast as he's getting used to the car and the bridgestone tyres

Alonso is adapting easyer because the car is more competitive than ferrari, so that's why kimi has so much trouble to fit in. Btw, massa didn't do as good as kimi last year, and he was on his second year at ferrari...so yeah, he won't go to toyota (stupid decision by him) or be kicked out from ferrari (impossible)

its not about kimi's skill or the fact he's adapting etc..its about the apparent lack of interest and application which annoys the most. and alonso's attitute is hard to work with in any environment even if it is a sport.
