Mark Webber changed, during the testing in Jerez de la Frontera, his helmet brand. The change was made at request of Adrian Newey.

According to Newey, Arai's helmets have a better aerodynamical performance, producing less drag.

Webber usually uses Schuberth's helmets, strengthened and bullet-proof. Rubens Barrichello and Ralf Schumacher, among other drivers, use the same brand. The helmet is sold for US$ 20.000,00.

I recall reading someone's post which said that Schuberths cannot be bought, they're offered only for the best drivers.

Um dois três quatro cinco seis sete oito nove dez
Eins zwei drei vier fünf sechs sieben acht neun zehn
One two three four five six seven eight nine ten
Один два три четыре пять шесть семь восемь девять десять

I think Rubens uses an Arai. Ralf, Massa, Raikkonen, Heidfeld and Webber use Schuberth. And yes, they can no longer be bought commercially.

Kimi appears to have changed to using a Schuberth helmet since joining Ferrari ;-)

Well, if Ralf and Rubens both have one, Schuberth is definately not choosing the best drivers to offer a helmet ;)

well rubens had one at ferrari, so im guessing ferrari believe they have a better aerodynamical flow, also the name schuberth gives the idea that a certain german may be involved with this company

Lol - i can see your point!

Actually, they've been around since the 20s, and also manufacture BMW-branded bike lids. The model that they use in F1 is apparently the "Schuberth Formel 1-Racehelm RF1".

To clear things up, the 3007 grid will be mostly wearing:

Fernando Alonso - Arai
Lewis Hamilton - Arai
Giancarlo Fisichella - Arai
Heikki Kovalainen - Arai
Felipe Massa - Schuberth
Kimi Raikkonen - Schuberth
Jenson Button - Bell
Rubens Barrichello - Arai
Nick Heidfeld - Schuberth
Robert Kubica - Arai
Ralf Schumacher - Schuberth
Jarno Trulli - Sparco
David Coulthard - Arai
Mark Webber - ? Schuberth last year. currently testing with an Arai on Adrian Newey request. He believes it has better aerodynamic profile.
Nico Rosberg - Schuberth
Alex Wurz - Bell
Toni Liuzzu - Not testing, used Arai last year.
Scott Speed - As above
Christian Albers - Arai
Adrian Sutil - Arai
Takuma Sato - Arai
Anthony Davidson - Bell

I could go into test drivers, but I won't! Arai by far the most popular, and its the same in the commercial market.

Monza972. Dread? They make team and corporate wear. I'm fairly sure they don't sell helmets

Liuzzi tested a Bell I think, or maybe it was Speed. I saw some pics of a Torro Rosso testing with a black carbon Bell helmet...

Liuzzi was wearing and carrying an Arai at the launch today. Where was the pic of a STR with a Bell?
