nice to see a new itv site keeping in side with vista. Shame they got rid of michael in the photo section (top right hand corner) and put up the blady (alonso). Inspite of that i also got to grips with itv's new look and changed my desktop theme from the boring blue (XP) to the new black.

Mine has only partially changed. I've still got the old top and left navigation.

Where'd you get the black theme?

I don't like it. I think it's quite horrendous, actually.

This man talks sense.

It's dire. Bordering on laughable. They've gone for a glassy sort of effect that's looks like it's modelled on Vista, but looks nothing like it. The way they've tried to get the glassy effect is awesome... 2 shades, one of black one of grey. I can't make out any gradient at all. It's a lesson in how not to design a website.

On the plus side, there's no picture of James Allen's hair anymore.

gav....gav...gav.....( shakes head in disbelief)

Its ITV, in a few days they'll have kate thornton asking f1 fans what they think of the new look site, and asking them to text or ring to vote for which they think is the best.

No doubt she'll say thats it too close to call a definate winner, and we must keep texting in votes to ensure that the web look we want can win :p

then you can switch over to ITV2 for "vote in ITV's F1 website-EXTRA" to see all the behind-the-scenes goings on in the website-designing world.

i heard rumours that there will be "ITV Website designing on Ice" in the near future...

Its pathetic. Graphically its a joke. Not only the gradients, but the way the images on the right have random squares cut out of them, which makes it look like they only partially loaded. The glass effect isnt even glass, its just 2 colours. Someone with even the most basic photoshop skills, hell, MS Paint skills, can create a better glass effect than that. It also displays different in all 3 browsers I have on this PC, which shows it was coded by a 5 year old. And being ITV, they insist on having there own banner at the top and bottom, meaning theres far too many colours in it, thus destroying it further.

Its a perfect lesson on how not to design a website.

btw, "The F1" website is [www.formula1.com], not ITV-F1.
