Honda to become formidable/unlikable?

Sep.25 (GMM) A rumour is doing the rounds that Ross Brawn's anticipated 'sabbatical' from Ferrari at the end of 2006 could in fact be a move to a rival F1 team.

Maranello based Ferrari is scheduled to confirm a new technical structure at the end of the year, and new speculation suggests that technical director Brawn could be moving to fill Geoff Willis' recently vacated Honda post.

''Formula one teams change shape and the shape of a team in the future may be different,'' the Englishman said last month.

At the same time, however, Honda team principal Nick Fry answered categorically when asked if - apart from the promotion of Shuhei Nakamoto - any gap at the Japanese squad would be filled.

He insisted: ''No, we're not going to replace Geoff in exactly that role.''

Me thinks ITV might start liking team orders soonish then....

Brawn signing makes Honda neither formidable nor unlikable.

Good point, with Nick Fry and Jenson Button they've got the unlikable vibe already going on.

Maybe this is what Honda need, they dont have the outright pace at the moment, but Brawn managed to win races with Ferrari when they really shouldnt have.

Big coup for Honda if this is true

I am a Honda and Jenson fan no matter who will be working in that team, except if they sign Michael SHITmacher.

Ross Brawn wouldnt enjoy in Honda ,Japanese people will tell you what you do and you have to do it ...if you dont you will be fired.Several former Honda and Toyota employees outside of the Japan have said they dont listen what you say about the car or anything that might help to develop the car/team...they only do what they think are best for them.

I would have said the exact opposite.

The BAR/Honda team have never been very likable. Right from the very start with idiotic slogans like "Tradition of Excellence" having no prior existance, and then coming out and saying they'd win their first race. Remind me again, how many points did they score in that season?

And personally I can't stand Ross Brawn, so if he'd go to Honda, I'd probably like the team even less, shame they have a likable driver in Barrichello.

Eh? Come on, Ross, kick rubens out of Honda and bring in Davidson! ;)

(Rubens lost my support when he did what he did at Ferrari, and became the shame of our nation. Five years sucking MS balls? Damn, I'd rather drive 5 years for Minardi. I never liked Rubens and I really hate to see him driving for my fav team. He always complain about the car or the others when things arent going well for him. But thanks God Piquet Jr and B.Senna are coming in 2008 ;) )
