Drivers or Teams? Who do you support?

Since I was a Senna fan, my thing has always been McLaren, but for the first time in decades, they won't have a lineup that I actually like and now with Mercedes buying the team, it's likely I'll drop the support.

I never had much gripe with Ferrari, but more with Schumacher. So now that he is leaving and Kimi is getting in, I'll probably support them, and Kimi who is my favorite driver at the moment. So wherever he goes I'll be fine. Other drivers that I like are Pedro de la Rosa, Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen and now Robert Kubica as well. I guess since I'm brazillian, I'm forced to kinda like Massa and Barrichelo too, but since Senna, there hasn't been a brazillian that I've been particularly impressed with.

As for teams, I like some of the midfielders, like RedBull and BMW too. I don't have any problems with Williams either. The back teams really lost it for me after they were bought though...maybe not Toro Rosso, but Midland was kinda crappy...maybe they'll get better now with Spyker in the game...

I'm definitely a Driver supporter, rather than a Team supporter.

My favourites are M Schumacher, Alonso (both incredible talents), DC and Fisichella (because they have historically just got on with the job - Fisi's been moaning a bit recently ) and Scott Speed (because he just speaks his mind, brilliant).

Wherever they go, I root for them.

I DON'T like Kimi (no personality), Barrichello (no spine) or Ralf Schumacher (not much of anything).

Would have liked to have seen DC coming to ferrari always seemed a solid driver who would have been an ideal partner at ferrari for kimi. Outside ferrari i must say i like redbull just for the fact i like there liverly and i like seeing what there cars going to be like at monaco(star wars, superman)

I've been a Williams fan since the 1980's and I doubt I'll change until Frank hangs up his wheels. Like him, I've never been crazy about drivers (except Keke, of course) as a good car can make any monkey look good but the greatest driver will still be at the back in a pile of junk.
But if I'm pushed, I'd say I have kept an eye on one or two drivers after their time at Grove. JV stole everyone's hearts when he burst into F1 ande almost took Damon out in his first race through sheer aggression. JPM was my favourite for a long time simply for the flashes of brilliance that put him in a different class to everyone else. Pity he was so inconsistent. Now my attention is on Nico and what he would do with a car worthy of putting on the grid. Remember how much quicker than Heikki he was in GP2.

But I am! never supported anyone else, but I did always like Kimi, Heidfeld. Besides being a Schumacher fan, I'm a Ferrari supporter all the way. So next year I'll support Kimi + Ferrari, and of course Massa since he's driving a Ferrari

PS. hope Albers or Doornbos can get a good car at some time

Williams for me.

Has been since day 1 for me. I became hooked as an 8yr old back in 1991. Williams will be my for as long as they remain in F1, under the ownership of Sir Frank and Patrick Head, and still with the name Williams.

If the team folds, I'd probably be just a general fan. Although I like the attitude the Red Bull has towards the sport. So Scuderia Toro Rosso would probably be the team I'd have most interest in after Williams.

I've supported McLaren since starting to watch F1 (in '98) and their Finnish driver (Hakkinen and Raikkonen)

Now Kimi is moving to Ferrari, I'll still support him.

I'll also support BMW-Sauber (I really like their livery, for some odd reason).

befor 2002 i though i was a driver fan.
and for a while i realy thought that Kimi may replace Mika for me.
but that didn't happen,since 2001 i only find my self cheering the Mclaren driver.prefferd Kimi of course because he was allways the fastest.
my dream was to see De La Rosa on Mclaren,and that came true,but he sadly not that great,De La Rosa is next to Hakkinen for me.
but still,Mika is by far the number 1 ,i still smile the moment i see him in the pit lane(DTM).but now i am all Mclaren.
and i never thought i would ever ever say this,but i think i am cheering Alonso.

Schumacher supporter since 1994 mid season (was only 4 but my uncle told me all abt it) then now will always be ferrari supporter from nex t season main supporter will be massa & kimi also

I am always for the underdog, and/or the runner up in the championship, because if that driver does well, the championship always gets exciting (you might say i am just a neutral f1 watcher).

Therefore, during the season i find my favourite normally, last year raikkonen, this year schumacher, and for example in 2000 it was schumacher, after two years of hakkinen domination, and in 2001 coulthard because of the ferrari dominance.

Bit this year, i think it might be Raikkonen, because that guy is always the underdog, and i just love to see his helmet livery in a ferrari
