I really hope that they dont introduce that ugly CDG wing... I could almost kill the creator for that

I guess the aero stuff was on the table to play against developing more efficient engines. Let's see the freeze is on for '07 to '09? And engine design ideas are wanted to be agreed by '08. Yep that fits. I'd rather see less downforce and more mechanical grip sooner but all changes cost. I really can't see why there is such a downer on wind-tunnels and simulators. Limiting testing is a good move if fridays are 'open' testing days (i.e. use non-race engines) but some teams have invested very heavily in their wind-tunnels and gizmos in order to economize on testing. Oh well, the teams have all agreed it so it looks like the future of F1 is starting to have a shape.

Nickv lives in the future, so he already knows who won the 2006 title :)

So Nick, tell me who won the Brazilian GP - Jenson Button? ;)

Teams are against this new wing anyway, as it would mean less space for advertising on the car, and the rear wing is one of the highest paid spots. There are also some doubts on whether the 'ugly wing' would really work in the end.

The FIA will just make Formula One worse. Look what they did in 05, the only reason it became interesting was because there was a chance that either of the two front running teams could win, rather than the one in 04.

Most drivers claimed the new regulations actually made it even harder to run in the dirty air.

I just can't understand how the FIA can make silly mistakes and end up going backwards, you'd think they'd hire people who know what they are doing. Obviously not.

Keiran why do you watch F1?
The amount of complaing e.t.c. you do on the sports makes me wonder why you bother.

Sport isn't interesting if there's nothing to complain about, personally i love to shout on footballplayers who make big mistakes, and the same for other sports.

The FIA has been going wrong for a good time now on the F1 regs. All the stuff they do nowadays work completely the oposite of what they want. The most recent one, being the introduction of V8s, claiming that the cars would get slower, when in fact they only got faster through the corners which is where it is dangerous anyway. The raising of Front Wings in 2005 was stupid, as it made cars lose downforce at the front, hence allowing for even less close driving.

The FIA either needs new blood to see what's really going on, or a big smack in the head. At least, some of the new regs for 2008 actually look interesting for a change.

I think many people complain because F1 has a tremendous potential to be so much better but isn't.

Kimi is doing his best drives in the latest races IMO...3 poles in 4 races, even if one wasn't 100% is to be commendable when you have to beat the Ferrari's to it. McLaren just needs to get a bit better on race pace, and they can probably get a couple of victories. I'm hoping for Suzuka and Interlagos :)

Looks funny.
Those rear wings shows that FIA is agreed with every stupid idea to slow the cars down.
Hello FIA, why don't you build a wall in front of the car. It could help, too. I'm sure.... ;)
