At least Honda aren't/weren't concerned about the power output.

Well maybe not slow but they still has work to do with reliability ....

That's a cracking time by Kimi considering he had only 16 laps on track, i hope they sort out their reliability soon. The Williams could be the dark horse of this season if they keep up their current form.

Kimi also said in inteview that one of the reasons why McLaren isnt looking so fast in winter testing is that they dont get the tyres to work properly in cold conditions when it's warmer weather they are faster .

Kimi Raikkonen joined Juan Pablo Montoya at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo for day two of this week's test. Running was slightly delayed in the morning as a result of cold track conditions and the teams went out on track from 10am onwards.

Juan Pablo spent the majority of the morning completing a race distance in his MP4-21, which included pit stop practice for the team. The Colombian's afternoon saw work focus on set-up programmes for the opening races over shorter runs. Juan Pablo covered over 340km in total over 87 laps.

Kimi's programme for the day was also set-up work, with the Finn putting in a time of 1m11.174. A minor transmission problem in the morning saw Kimi take to the track for the first time shortly before 11:00 to start his running.

Towards the end of the session both Kimi and Juan Pablo had mechanical failures on track. Kimi returned to the track for the final 10 minutes, whilst Juan Pablo's day ended as the team prepared his car for tomorrow's running.

Kimi and Juan Pablo will both continue testing in the two MP4-21s tomorrow.

i have to say, i'm liking it a lot:

also, the red seems to fluoresce slightly, like the arrow on the front jack and the mclaren swoosh symbols on the boards.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

yay :)

LS's Tip of the week
ESSENTIAL OILS aren't essential unless you're an engine, a gearbox or a twat

thats the thing kimi done 16 laps, light fuel runs jpm done the longer runs so his time shows the mclaren is still off the pace.

Other teams are bringing out areo updates merc new engine that still blows up, mclaren also have a big problem with the gear box

does it explain that kimi only had 16 laps because of an engine faliure. you cant predict that he had light fuel runs just because he done 16 laps

The Honda package is looking alot more unreliable than anyone else so far tbh.

Yes, but last week they had about 4 or 5 failures in 5 days, and Honda admitted that they are "concerned"

They might have said they are concerned, but they've completed some seriously mileage over the last few days in Bahrain:

Monday:

Davidson - 114 laps
Rossiter - 67 laps

Tuesday:

Button - 87 laps
Barrichello - 107 laps

Wednesday:

Button - 140 laps
Barrichello - 102 laps

Considering the fact that a race distance at Sakhir is a mere 57 laps, the Hondas are looking exceptionally reliable and extremely fast, being the fastest of the V8 runners at Bahrain this week.

Compare and contrast:

Valencia.

Tuesday:

de la Rosa - 100 laps
Montoya - 50 laps

Wednesday:

Raikkonen - 21 laps
Montoya - 85 laps

The lap at Valencia is around 20s shorter than that of Bahrain, so with a bit of reading you can say that McLaren look exceptionally unreliable, whereas Honda look pretty solid. Honda might say they're concerned....but currently it looks like they're concerned whether they'll get the podium or not.

How about Kimi and JPM's helmets?
I mean, why the West-style names?
I suppose we'll see a change there also, am I wrong?

Saludos desde Colombia.
