David coulthard ran 1996 Monaco Grand Prix with Michael Schumacher backup helmet, because he had visibility problems.

Williams have won the drivers Championship 7 times with 7 different drivers, no other team has won more than two championships each with a different driver.

Williams were also the last team to win a drivers championship without winning it back to back when Piquet won in 87.

The last 21 constructors championships have been shared between just four engine suppliers, Honda, Renaul, Ferrari and Mercedes

The constructors championship has only ever been won by French, British or Italian teams

That engine stat is interesting...

Considering they are the suppliers expected to be at the sharp end of the grid...

They have never been enemies, rivals on track, yes.

The first time the safety car was used to start a race was the 2000 Belgian Grand Prix, when it was deemed necessary to start under the safety car because of poor visibility and fears of a repeat of the 1998 Belgian Grand Prix. Ironically, there was more rain in the 1998 race.

"The first time the safety car was used to start a race was the 2000 Belgian Grand Prix"

Surely 1997?

The race has been started under safety car three times due to wet conditions: 1997 Belgian Grand Prix, 2000 Belgian Grand Prix and 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix.

To date, the 1999 Canadian Grand Prix is the only Formula One race to finish behind the Safety Car.

Heinz-Harald Frentzen suffered a brake failure and had a massive crash with four laps to go. Frentzen was unhurt, but his crash caused this contest to be the only F1 race ever to finish under a full-course caution.

How come 1997's Belgian GP had the safety car starting it? I don't remember that one....

Fifteen minutes before the scheduled start of the race, the rain started to fall heavily.

Where in some areas the rain was heavy, but clearing well, in others (the bus stop for example) there was standing water on the ground. This hazard caused Ralf Schumacher to crash his Jordan-Peugeot on his out-lap on the way to the grid, leaving him a long jog to pick up the spare car before starting from the pits.

Eddie Jordan was being interviewed live on tv at the time and was told by the reporter interviewing him that Ralf had crashed his Jordan, Eddie said he didnt know that!!

Most likely you're right mate. I know plenty of people who've won the same race twice in 2 years (Raikkonen at Spa 04 and 05, Alonso at Malaysia 05 and 06 etc.)
