its a fitted cap which are popular in the US/Hippity Hop scene.
Kimi probably saw Hayden with one at Wrooom and wanted his own to look gangsta

Yeah, they're damn stupid looking. At least they have a slight dent instead of being flat, with the stickers still on, and tilted to a side
