The Australian GP Thread **Spoilers here please**

Bring it on!! Praccy tomorrow (probably won't be too interesting so I'm not that diappointed about missing it because of work. Suffice to say both Saturday and Sunday shall be spent in front of the telly. Let us pray that the race is a good one.

Since this has already been stickied, I might as well edit the thread header, so everyone knows that spoilers go here, and they can also be found here.

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

bar are using their old front wing :(

they tested it at Jerez and Valencia and it performed better than the 05 wing.

so big mistake there :/ from BAR.

just looking at pics of their barge board system it is very mclaren like (from Brazilian GP) and very interesting.

difficult to draw anything from that - especially as 4 of the top drivers this weekend only did installation laps.

Good session for McLaren i guess - and Sauber and Toyota close together

Pretty rubbish session really. Thats the problem with these rules for longer lasting engines and tyres, teams just wont run in the early sessions. I think it is particularly bad cause its the first race of the year. Im going to the Hungarian GP so i hope by then at least all drivers run on the first Friday session.

Oh well lets see what happens in session 2.

Minardi are out as of right now. Mr. Stoddart was just on the TV here in Melbourne, and said that the stewards had not allowed their car to race as it is now. He said that there were two courses of action:

- Prepare the car overnight for the 2005 spec (do they have an aero package ready????)

- Take it to the courts.

The second one sounded like what he was going to do. He said Minardi have their case ready and that it is "watertight".

So if we do see Minardi this weekend it will be sometime tomorrow with some sort of warped aero setup.

Yeah...I'm so excited!!!! And I hope i can keep it again for the rest of the season.

Renault looked like not that well after all. What looks weird to me is the fact that their car is unreliable, and they did plenty of laps, and they're not saving their engines, That's my thought. McLaren were in really good shape and a dissapointing Webber, well, i was expecting that. Oh, and how can i forget Red Bull. Amazing performance. Ferrari......Question mark-? A shame what happened with Minardi, but I agree with Those 3 teams who said no, "Rules are rules...", anyway, if Stoddart would had kept his mouth close, anything of these would be happening

I know this is just the first practice, but i'm just judging for what i saw, Story can change tomorrow or even on sunday again.

this year is looking better so far

i know these sessions dont mean much, but i just looked last year's results and Ferrari went 1,2 in every session except saturday praccy 2 (schumacher won that as well)

schumacher went fastest in every session
Yeah. Good on Red Bull topping the first session. Hopefully Webber will find a bit more pace tomorrow.
