If anyone could have won two titles in one year it would have been Fangio, though I wager Clark would have had a damned good go too :p

After his recent performances, Lotus management would have to be muppets to re-sign him.
I've been hearing rumours that he'll be kept on too, but I've been putting that down to the media having a lively imagination. There was no reason for them not to confirm him when they confirmed Kimi, surely.

Well they re-signed Petrov and Piquet Jr, and whilst all being crash prone, Grosjean has at least shown a very decent turn of speed at times.

If he is re-signed, I can't see him lasting a second full season in the seat - especially with the increased pressure that there'll be on him to perform.

As for Raikkenon what a joke, couldn't the guy at least wait for the race to end before he started looking for a 'Bar'?
lol

Rumours circulating Renault are looking for a 'higher profile' number 2 for Kimi.

My bets on Heikki. Or Koby. Preferably Koby.

a very very, hugely sad day for the sport Formula 1....

one of the best presenters, jake, quitting !

probably the beginning of a very dark few years in mclaren with practically no more than a good driver !!

one of the fastest racers out there, Lewis Hamilton, moving to a team where most likely he will be reduced to a mere 7-th place fighter !!!

alonso getting denied from yet another title and his look... well if thats not a "mask of a tragedy" then i dont know what is !!!!

Michael Schumacher retiring from racing after being denied everything, , fight for championships, victories, podiums and even poles....

or in other words, the most competitive man i have known in my life, switching to a "Non-competitive mode" forever !!!!!

It's predictable that the Merc will not be upto to it.. But I think Hamilton will drag it up to places it doesn't deserve to be.

This maybe so but I fear that if Mercedes have not learned anything about Chassis developement over these last three years and have a good base to start with at the begining of 2013,
It will undoubtably be a repeat of the previous years, with other top teams going 'at leaps and bounds' and Mercedes at a crawl. Remember their developements skills are none to be desired and if this were to be the case sure, Lewis may drag a good quali here and there only to find himself going backwards in the race.

youcant drag a car up to a podium when it usually finishes appr. a minute behind the race leader. this is a gap no driver skills can overcome.

Did you watch the same Brazilian Grand Prix as the rest of us?

Button won...

Others made mistakes, sure, got taken out. But Button still came out unscathed.

Would say he is a bit better than you imply!

Heikki has had his chance in 2 top teams and tbh that latter part of 2012 he has not driven that well.

As for Bruno who is expected to go to Caterham its a huge step backwards. Started in HRT then Renault then Williams and now all the way back again. I really dont think the guy is that bad.

Hey may not be that bad, but unfortunately he's not that good either.

dan you are right. button is good, but he only won when the mclaren was soo good, that he didnt have any competition.

i doubt they will have this type of a car the whole season long. i am still hoping he can pull another championship up though.

Actually.. You could argue that he won most when the conditions levelled it out.

Australia, China 2010.
Canada, Hungary 2011.
Brazil 2012.

All races in changeable conditions.

5 of his 8 wins came in those conditions.

When the track went damp in Brazil Button was faster than Lewis, and tbh honest Lewis only got the lead back due to the saftey car but thats how it goes. He was 40 seconds behind, but the same happened with Lewis in Sepang he was miles out infront.

When the track went more dry Lewis was the faster of them, we dont know how it would have ended tbh but I think Button would have probably won.

Nico was the fastest driver in Brazil had he waited 1 corner more he would have probably been in the lead and that would have been that.
