Ferrari should just fix their gear box problems. Honestly, if you say Vettel only wins because of Newey you could also say Alonso only scores because the team sacrifices Massa (who actually outqualified him the last two races and still had to move over AGAIN).

Vettel doesn't have a team mate who has to pull over. Red Bull could have told Webber to spin towards the end to make Seb win another place but they didn't. Seb virtually started two races from the back and still was way faster than Alonso - this time even in a damaged car. I think that says a lot about the driver.

I am not saying Alonso wouldn't have deserved the championship, but to say Vettel didn't is just pure ignorance.

Incredible finish to the season, and a fitting one! Congratulations to Vettel, he drove a very good race after his misjudgement with Senna, and had an excellent season.Good drive from Alonso, particularly the double overtake, did the best he could.

Hulkenberg was excellent, a pity about the two spins. For me, that was a fair penalty.

So thrilled for Massa to finish the season on the podium! That should have been 4 podiums in the final 6 races if he didn't have to hold back and/or take a forced penalty in Korea and US respectively. Really surprised that he has been able to maintain a pace advantage over Alonso for a sustained period of time. Hopefully he takes this into 2013 and we see him matching or faster than Alonso again.

And as for Kimi, possibly the funniest moment I have seen in years!

Webber DID let Vettel by during the race though... And while they haven't pulled so many parts tricks this year, just look at Silverstone 2010 to see that Red Bull can do exactly the same things as Ferari.

Well, there it is, youngest ever tripple world Champion ..... said he would be and I'm glad for him.
There is a lot for Vettel to learn and I am not completely happy with some of his behaviour this year but he is young. Regardless ..... he can drive very quickly and under imense pressure.
For anyone that thinks this victory was Adrian Newey's then I need to as why isn't Mark Webber Champion ...... also since when has Adrian Newey's designs encluded a 'mashed' side-pod?
Vetell took this one home on his own and from the rear .... worthy Champion in my book.

Alonso ....... Sad his eyes said it all. Epic season and by far, best driver of the season.
Sad for Lewis had a good drive but well done Button who also drove quiet inteligently. Un lucky for Hulkenberg but ....... beware of the white lines at Brazil.

Good bye to Michael, glad that I dont have to watch him race with hope in my heart knowing that that @#$%& bucket of va Mercedes will never-ever give him the chance anyway.
Massa was fantastic ...... the man is back, hope it continues into 2013.

As for Raikkonen what a joke, couldn't the guy at least wait for the race to end before he started looking for a 'Bar'?

Good Season end race very satisfied with the winner although if Alonso would have won ...... I would have been just as content.

I think he's just invented Formula Kimi. Driving in that would be fun. :D

the forum on BBC red button was good. they made a mistake on their little montage of Fangio, Schumacher and Vettel being triple champions though:

the Sky coverage just doesn't have the charisma and natural feel of the Jake/EJ/DC combo.

Sky need to rethink their team, they could do with replacing Simon, getting rid of Georgie completely (she just states the bleeding obvious the way Mark Blundell used to do on the ITV coverage) and they need to shorten their pre-qualli and pre-race coverage, as they don't have the content or features to fill it.

Yeah, I caught that too. Fangio winning two titles in the same year.

Kimi almost spun at Juncao, and drove across the grass and found the support pitlane so went down that, to go round and rejoin the track, but as he drove down the road he came to a closed gate, so he stopped, did a u-turn in a narrow piece of road, then came back near Juncao across the grass and back onto the track. it was unlucky for him the gate was closed, otherwise it would have been a good escape.

But Georgie's arse...

I like Allan McNish on the Skypad, he's very engaging.

it is a little bit off topic but anyway..

the struggle alonso has for a title compared to vettel reminds me of how much easier it is for "rich" kids or students with connections in their family to materialise their study in economics lets say, compared to those who come from nowhere and have a never ending uphill battle (like alonso compared to vettel who has everything he needs to win a title)

you can see they employed her to be the totty to encourage the dads to watch their coverage, otherwise it'd be all blokes plus Natalie Pinkham, but she's short and dumpy and not much more than a pretty face. she doesn't add anything to the coverage. i could live without her dumbing-down of the conversations at the Skypad.

Arse, boobs, general figure, facial structure(She'd make a cracking model for photoshoots) plus she's nice and compact, which might have its own advantages.
But nope, she hasn't added much to Sky's F1 coverage this year.

Some Kimi quotes about his incident:

"Where I went off you can get back on the track by going through the support race pitlane, but you have to go through a gate."

"I know this as I did the same thing in 2001 and the gate was open that year. Somebody closed it this time."

"Next year I'll make sure it's open again..."

Maybe she should get her lovely arse back to SSN...

Back on topic, and I've had a thought. As RoGro isn't really a shoo-in for the second Lotus seat anymore, I think there might be a chance that either Kobayashi or Valsecchi might be in with a shout...

I'd like to see Senna go back there. That would make an interesting driver pairing!

Brilliant quotes from Kimi on the support pitlane by the way - I'd expect nothing less. :D

god i would have loved to see schumi in there... plus, rakkonen and schumacher apparantely have some unfinished business on track.... their battle into the 1st corner was so epic and reminded me of 2006 big time.

Isn't Grosjean practically confirmed at Renault next year?

I'd be very surprised if he isn't confirmed in the next fortnight or so.
