Well, that was a decent evening's worth of snooker
The last 4 frames of the second session of the Murphy-Robertson match were shared, two apiece. Murphy won the first two of those and looked like he was running away with the match, then Neil Robertson won the last two with great comebacks. The last frame was a belter. After a great tactical exchange Robertson almost clinched the frame, got to the stage where Murphy needed snookers, then tried an exhibition shot on the blue ball and blasted it high up in the air, so it landed on the floor and ended up against the barrier the crowd sit behind. The extra points Murphy got from that foul briefly put him back in the frame, before Robertson finally won it.
So, it's 9-7 in Murphy's favour overnight. Looks like it could be a close match, but Murphy seems to have the edge so far.
In the Higgins-Allen semi, John won a couple more frames tonight, but Allen won a total of 6 more, bringing the overnight score to 15-9 in Higgins' favour. So Higgins has to finish the match off tomorrow by playing at least the two frames he needs to win it, instead of having the day off.
