Didn't see this one as travelling home dejectedly from England game.

A very surprising result...

We lost, never deserved to win and unfortunately it was the only way to prove to Parreira that he had the wrong line-up. Why not have Cicinho starting and leave Juninho in the bench, all he does is talk how he wants to play but doesn't do a thing...

And Ronaldo isn't a diving cheat. It wasn't a big hit but just a simple touch can make you lose your balance. I don't know which play you are talking about to go on details though, Daniel.

About the French goal, Brazil tried to do an offside trap and that was just disgusting. Henry was absolutely clear off anyone and maybe Dida could have risked and come out to cut the cross, just finished it off easily.

There's more to say about both sides but why bother...

When he dived over thuram's foot - there was maybe minimal contact, but this was only because ronaldo deliberately left his back leg to drag, so he could get a free kick. This was a dive, it was blatant and obvious. If you try to back him up you clearly know nothing of football and are incredibly biased.

No way was that an offside trap, else NONE of the players would have ran. It was just plain arrogance - you could tell by their faces and body language that the other players on the edge of the box just "couldn't be arsed" to run in.

None of the brasilian players have been impressive all tournament. No doubt you will attempt to argue otherwise :P

you can't be offside from a free kick can you? or is that just throw ins? or am I completely wrong on both counts??

(can you tell I'm a soccer officianado?)

You can, Gareth. I think there was some ridiculous miscommunication there. And Vader, no excuses, just the truth. Brazil rarely played well in this World Cup including yesterday's game, and no glimpse of what it can and should do, we weren't deserving to win by the level of playing we were displaying but I am never going to go against my country and cheer for someone else.

What you are saying is that they could have actually played better but for some reason didn't. What we are saying is that this Brazilian team probably couldn't play better in the first place even if they wanted. We are more than you, so we win.

The team that entered the field would never win the game. That's fact. I'm brazillian and I was aware of that when the match started, hense I knew France would win. Had Parreira changed the team significantly, by not having Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Adriano and Ronaldo I think we could have played much better.

Vader, last time I checked you knew things about English grammar and cooking, so I think your expertise isn't football, but thanks for trying. Perhaps you should be a little less arrogant.

The fact that I don't really like football doesn't mean I can't be an expert on it. (I cannot say that I am particularly fond of auxiliary verbs, still I know a lot about them.) Hell, I even played football in a team for a couple of years. Talking about arrogance - I am not the one who comes into every thread, holding lectures on football and basically telling others they can't tell their left foot from their right. Am I arrogant? Na. Gloating? Yes. Mischievousness? Yes. Arrogance? Not in this case. ;)

Cafu... maybe too old yeah, but Roberto Carlos is a big piece of defence and they need him... about Adriano, I think Robinho should have replaced him! but I would leave Ronaldo there! who would you put If you take him out, a nowhere guy called ''Fred'' ????

comon, think what your saying...

btw, couldnt watch the game, unfortunatly, but I saw the other games and Brazil didnt play how they should have... I dont think good players as Ronaldinho didnt played 100% as normaly...

Roberto Carlos isn't what he used to be anymore. If you have a chance to watch the game, do it and then come back and tell me what you just said again. The dude was fixing his socks when Zidane launched the ball from a faul, and that left Henry with a clear path to the goal. There are people to go into his place that can do the job quite well. Don't forget we have loads of teams here in Brazil with plenty of good players.

Attack formation should be Ronaldinho Gaúcho and Robinho. With Robinho acting a little further back and moving from side to side to give Gaúcho space to play ahead, just like he does at Barcelona. He's not a mid-field man. Consequently, the mid-field should have had Ricardinho in place of Gaúcho. In place of Cafu, just put Cicinho in.

In contrast, the defense players were acting quite well actually, and I have to give them kudoz for that. If it weren't for that, we would have lot by a much larger margin.

All these things have been said since before the WC started by most commentators here in Brazil. Parreira seemed distant to the team and was unable to form union, something that Scolari did quite well with Portugal and with Brazil back in 2002.

Ronaldinho Gaucho and Robinho won't be solution, you will need a striker to score.

I liked the team that played, at least in players potential. I think what missed was attitude.

But in my opinion the Brazillian squad shoul be:
Goalkeepers:
1 - Silvio Luiz
12 - Marcelo
22 - Julio Cesar
99 - Johny Herrera

Defense:
2 - Betão
6 - Sebá
13 - Marinho
16 - Wescley
24 - Marcus Vinícius
27 Marquinos
50 - André Leone

Wings:
4 - Gustavo Nery
14 - Coelho
23 - Eduardo
25 - Rubens Junior
26 - Edson

Back - Midfielders:
3 - Mascherano
5 - Marcelo Mattos
20 - Xavier
21 - Bruno Octaviano
28 - Rafael Fefo
29 - carlão
51 - Paulo Almeida

Atacking - Midfielder
7 - Roger
8 - Rosinei
11 - Ricardinho
19 - Carlos Alberto
41 - Renato
77 Marcelinho Carioca
52 - Ramon

Atacking
9 - Nilmar
10 - Carlitos Tevez
17 - Rafael Moura

And Brazil should wear black and white.

Mascherano and Tevez playing for Brazil? haha, in your dreams, rocker, in your dreams... ;)

if you want to turn Corinthians into Brazil national team, go ahead, but don't include our players in that, bear this in mind ;-)
