been a very watchable match so far, France a goal up thanks to Henry...

I (controversially!) want France to win this one, purely so we see more Zizou ;)

Ronaldo is a diving cheat - it was obvious to me even before they showed the replay.

Brazil simply needs to rethink their attitude towards this tournament. When you think it will be a walk in the park for you because all others are awestruck when they hear the name "Brazil" but you only have a handful of overweight semi-fit players, it simply doesn't work. Arrogance doesn't pay off and as you can see, when the "great football wizards" can't play their game, they have to resort to unfair means. Goodbye, Brazil - come back when you learned your lesson and got off your high horse.

Indeed. As I have said from the start, they just ooze arrogance and seem to think they are "above" the other teams. I am glad they have finally had their come-upance.

What a delightful performance by Zidane. Cannot believe the guy is retiring - what a match. Ribery was awesome too, though in a less obvious way.

Overall, France were dominant. Brazil just didn't turn up.

Let's wait for Gui to pop up and tell us all how much better Brazil was and that technically they won and that they didn't play dirty and Ronaldo is no diving cheat and Ronaldinho doesn't look like a gay ferret and ... and ...

Just saw the French goal again and it somehow proves me right. There were three (!!!) Barzilian defenders in the penalty area and five French strikers. However, five other Brazilian players were just standing in one neat line outside the penalty area, watching the ball come in. They just stood there, with their hands at their hips as if they were watching a different game - one was even bending over and tying his shoe laces. This is even stupidity or pure arrogance, as if these five players thought "well, why run and get involved? Three of us are way enough to handle five French strikers".

Incidently Edson Arantes do Nascimento (aka Pelé) - who is a guest at German TV - does share my opnion on that goal.

I didn't come to this part of the forum during the WC so far...

But man, how bad Brazil played today, it looked like they didn't realized it was a World Cup game, they played like in a training game.

And my main angry!!! I will have to work on Wednesday full time, not leaving early to watch the game...

Oh boy, there's justice after all. England losing was bad, but Andy Murray's victory and this has cheered me up quite a bit. I lost 2 classmates early this morning, and another's critically ill in hospital, so feeling a little @#$%&. Doesn't help that I can't get a job anywhere.

Isn't life just f*****g GRAND?
