I'll be honest. The COT has flucked up Bristol. Since the new car I've yet to watch a race there that was actually worth watching- I miss the old days when you had to shove the car infront of you out of the way to get by. Though, it is worth mentioning that they have done some work to the track that is also partly to blame, but still. Bristol used to be bump and run and get the heck outta there before the guy can get back to ya ;) Now there is actually... Passing.

The Flanker is gone. :(

Montoya pole for first chase race :D:D!!

By almost two tenths!! On a 28.5 second lap, 2/10 is HUGE!!! I dont think pole matters, but still great to start!!

I think you are overplaying that just a tad, lol. It isn't as huge as you make it, and the cars are running race setup. So a setup that can turn epic qualifying laps might be junk by lap 10. Meanwhile, cars that qualify 20th could be epic on long runs.

Montoya's been raving about this car ever since he ran laps in Practice. So I'd expect him to walk it and have it robbed by NASCAR like the Brickyard 400.

Didnt consider, but then didnt really know! Still, I hope he can translate it to a win or good result.

Been look at this chase malarke... how did Kyle Busch with 4 wins not get in and JPM with 0 wins get in? Just consistancy? I cant remember how many top 5's JPM had but it seemed less than I thought!

Its goes by how many points you get and if your in the top 12 after the first 26 races. Montoya was 10th after the 26th race and Kyle was 13th, 8pts out of 12th after race 26. So he did not make the chase.

Not really.

Had to descent practices. Still have to work on the car a bit.

JPM, today after final practice.

Dave Im starting to rather enjoy Nascar along with other stuff like Le Mans etc, never really watched them that much before :)

How often can you watch Nascar live in the UK? The only channels I can see that could hold it are Five USA or ESPN? Or am I barking up the wrong tree here lol.

Im with Virgin Media if thats any help, top package.

Sky Sports have the live races, but you never know if it's on Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 or Xtra until the weekend of the race. They take less adverts than the Yanks do, which is a bonus.

It isn't being shown this weekend anyway. Sky have 5 sports channels, 3 are showing football (which is totally needed of course...), 1 showing NFL and 1 showing Golf. So American streams it is for tonight.

edit: Sky might show it on the red button. It's a big might, because last time they just didn't bother.

I love it when stops like that happen. Somethings clearly wrong but hey, it's legally parked! Service it!
