New A1GP Chassis from Ferrari

So more reports emerged yesterday about money and chassis problems. The problem being there is no money, and until there is, there is no chassis. Only 9 so far have been built and they won't have a full grid for Round 1 (which is of course Round 2, since Round 1 has already been cancelled). Zandvoort looking to be cancelled too.

Well. If this season ever gets underway, we in the uk without the delights of sky will be able to see it on Channel 5. Highlights i assume.

I really hope they pull through this. I really got into it last year and would hate to see it fall on its arse. I do highly condone the use of n aerodynamic car though. The Lola brick was conducive to some entertaining racing.

This may sound daft, but why would they base that car on one of the quickest and most successful F1 cars ever made? And how can they blame a poorly designed suspension component when there were 0 (read zero) problems with that part on the F1 car in 2004 and 2005? They really don't know what they're doing....

GPGSL S5 Race driver for IED.

Not all teams have their cars ready. The race in Zandvoort will go on though, and it will count for the championship, BUT they introduced a rule that only 9 out of the 10 events count (so the 9 best weekends point wise will count) So the teams that miss the first race wont be hurt in the championship. Team Germany wont join in anymore, and team Great Britain doesnt have their car ready.

And people said F1 was a farce after Spa.

This is the beginning of the end of A1GP then (if the beginning of the end hadn't started already).

yeh but people where shouting this to in s1, it did make 3 seasons already, with the 4th season about to begin, so well just see..

I wonder if they could have been more popular if they had tried releasing a game for it, like the leaked unfinished one for rFactor

Andretti Green Racing will be running the A1 USA team, there are rumours going that Danica Patrick will drive for them... Not good

Charley Kimball will drive for Team America in Zandvoort, but for the other races Danica Patrick will race, that was just announced..

Danice finished at p5 in IRL league. And i think some people here are just jelous she can drive.

How come when it comes to a normal driver, you can just not like them, but when it comes to Danica there always has to be a stupid reason like your jealous?

Dunno. Sounds bit like Finnish Kimi fans.. if someone doesnt like Kimi, then he most be jealous.. In Danicas case this might even be true (for Kimi fans its tabu, that Kimi was beaten by a girl in serious racing). :P

Well, i think they did well to get the year underway. Appalling conditions at Zandvoort, more a battle of survival than real racing though.
