Hi people, I have decided to start a new topic - similar to that in the GP4 section - to show all work that has been made for GP3, recreating the 2010 Formula 1 season.

This page will have a guide showing what GP3 software to install (I know other threads show this but I thought I'd include a short overview), it will also show all WIP work and finished 2010 F1 work. Including - Carsets, Tracks & Perf Files.

I will also include a small overview of the 2010 Season itself.


So do tell me if you see anything missing from this page, anything wrong with this page, if you would like your work included or taken off of this page, and also if you are currently working on something for GP3 2010.

What's needed to update GP3 to the 2010 F1 season.

1. Using your original GP3 disc install the game onto your computer. You can buy it from here Amazon UK
2. Download & Install the official GP3 1.13 patch.
3. Download & Copy the Decrypted GP3 V1.13 No CD Patch to your GP3 folder.
4. Download & Install Steven Young's GP3 Edit.
5. Download & Install SDI Game Utilities' GPxPatch 3.93. You can get this from here SDI Site

A quick thing with GP3 Edit - make sure that whenever you create/edit a carset that you remember to set the 2010 Points System: 25,18,15,12,10,8,6,4,2,1

So how to choose just 11 teams out of the 12 competing in this years championship?

Well considering the quality of all the cars made for GP3 at the moment you can't leave any out because they all look so good, so the only way to choose would to be either-
1. Leave out the team you hate most :P
Or 2. Pick the 11 best teams in terms of raw pace - of course this year Hispania have shown that they are the slowest team of the moment, so they are left out of my 2010 choice of teams.

Another big problem for fans of GP3 is the 16 track limitation, especially this season with 19 races in the Championship. So how to choose 16 tracks out of 19?

Now this one is really just down to everybodys personal preferences. Although as Korea is yet to be built that is the first one left out at the moment :P

Great Nathan...fantastic start for gp3 guide. You can insert here all files from my carset, please. And also carshape section and complete carsets links will be great...You have all Belini´s tracks reduced?????...I want them...is there download link???

is the Hungaroring map wrong or did they enabled the chicane this year?

yes it was wrong thanks for pointing that out it's now been fixed will be starting on the 2010 cars very shortly

knowing the need to slow down the cars wouldnt surprise me to see the chicane

Dont forget the best way to put it all together is to use GPx and Carset editor to install the files. That's all I do. I use the Carshape Editor to pick the right file, then use GPx to install it into the game.

I seem to have a problem with the reduced gp3 tracks from belini. If I try to load them gp3 crashes, does anybody know why?

run belini's tracks in debug mode with gpxpatch,else they crash.
